U.S. Targeting Taliban in Pakistan
Obviously, Pakistan is being moved into the enemy column for the upcoming WWIII what with the wikileaks flap all over the newspaper pages.
If you have time, American, take a look at a map and you can pretty quickly see where the front lines are going to be for WWIII (brought to you by USrael).
Why do you think AmeriKa is moving military hardware all over the planet?
It is called POSITIONING forces!!
"UN considers dropping 10 from sanctions list" by Associated Press | July 13, 2010
KABUL, Afghanistan — The names of 10 individuals or entities with alleged links to the Taliban are being considered for removal from a UN sanctions list, the top UN official in Afghanistan said yesterday.
Staffan De Mistura said the 10 names, submitted by Afghan officials, were being forwarded to the UN Security Council, which will decide whether to take them off the blacklist that freezes assets and limits travel.
I foresee a U.S. veto.
The list includes the names of 137 individuals and entities — businesses, groups, and organizations — with alleged ties to the Taliban or Al Qaeda.
Does that list include the CIA?
President Hamid Karzai has pushed for the removal of some Taliban figures from the blacklist as a way to encourage militants to stop fighting or enter peace talks....
Those peace talks must be a bunch of whispers because I rarely read of them.
We are there until at least 2014, haven't you heard?

"US targeting Taliban leaders with sanctions; Freezes assets, bans travel" by Lolita C. Baldor, Associated Press | July 23, 2010
WASHINGTON — The United States targeted key leaders of Afghanistan’s Taliban with new financial sanctions yesterday in a move that could complicate relations with Pakistan and Afghan efforts to reconcile with insurgents.
The action by the Treasury Department will freeze the militants’ assets, ban travel, and trigger an arms embargo. It follows similar action by the United Nations earlier this week....
So the U.N reversed course, huh?
Related: U.S. Paying Taliban For Protection
I assume that will be coming to an end?
Taken together, the US and UN sanctions prohibit any financial transactions of the terror leaders in UN member countries, putting additional pressure on Pakistan to take broader actions against the Taliban militants.
Does that mean the CIA bank accounts get shut down, too?
US officials have been urging Pakistan to crack down on the Al Qaeda-linked Haqqani network, saying Islamabad’s reluctance to move into the group’s base in North Waziristan is hampering the Afghan war effort.
Ah, yes, the Haqqani network, yes, the great Haqqani netork:
"Haqqani.... credited with introducing suicide bombing to the region.... cultivated as a "unilateral" asset of the CIA and received tens of thousands of dollars in cash for his work.... He may have had a role in expediting the escape of Osama Bin Laden.... In July 2008, CIA officials confronted Pakistan officials with evidence of ties between Inter-Services Intelligence and Haqqani. Haqqani has been accused of involvement in the 2008 Indian embassy bombing in Kabul...."
And now the Times Square tool, 'er, fool.
Pakistan has been moving cautiously, but has been slow at times to take on militants that Islamabad does not believe pose a direct threat. Pakistan has had historic relations with some of the Afghan insurgents and analysts suggest that Islamabad perceives them as useful allies in Afghanistan when international forces withdraw.
Yeah, it is ALL PAKISTAN''S FAULT for PROTECTING THEMSELVES and THEIR INTERESTS!
Oh, yeah, did I mention that the Taliban Pashtun are the people that LIVE THERE?
The Afghan government, meanwhile, has been pushing to try and talk with some insurgent factions, hoping to turn them away from violence.
So WHEN DO WE, AmeriKa?
US officials warn, however, that reconciliation is unlikely to succeed until the militants’ momentum on the battlefield is reversed.
Especially with US around!
Three financial kingpins were targeted with sanctions, including a key member of the Haqqani network, which directs operations against US and coalition forces in Afghanistan from safe havens in Pakistan.
Again with the Haqqani network!
Among those sanctioned yesterday was Nasiruddin Haqqani, an emissary for the Haqqani Network and brother of Sirajuddin Haqqani who leads the group with his father, Jalaluddin....
I wonder which CIA guys they know.
Nasiruddin Haqqani has collected funds for the Haqqani group, including from Al Qaeda....
Sig.

"US missiles kill 16 in Pakistan hide-out" by Munir Ahmed, Associated Press | July 25, 2010
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — US missiles hit a suspected militant hide-out, killing 16 insurgents before dawn yesterday in a troubled Pakistani tribal region along the Afghan border, intelligence officials said.
Admiral Mike Mullen, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, also met yesterday with top military officials in Pakistan, a key US ally in the battle against Islamist extremists.
The six missiles struck a compound in the Nazai Narai area of South Waziristan. The hide-out was known to be frequented by foreign fighters, who were among the dead, two intelligence officials said.
I am truly stunned at the level of fatal ferocity we can bring to a village of mud huts.

U.S. drone attacks in Pakistan get mixed response:
" The Khan family never heard it. They had been sleeping for an hour when a Hellfire missile pierced their mud hut on an August night in 2008. Black smoke and dust choked villagers as they dug through the rubble.
Four-year-old Zeerak's legs were severed. His sister Maria, 3, was badly scorched. Both were dead. When their cousin Irfan, 16, saw them, he gently curled them into his arms, squeezed the rumpled bodies to his chest, lightly kissed their faces, and slid into a stupor."
...another: 60 drone hits kill 14 al-Qaeda men, 687 civilians
" LAHORE: Of the 60 cross-border predator strikes carried out by the Afghanistan-based American drones in Pakistan between January 14, 2006 and April 8, 2009, only 10 were able to hit their actual targets, killing 14 wanted al-Qaeda leaders, besides perishing 687 innocent Pakistani civilians. The success percentage of the US predator strikes thus comes to not more than six per cent."
Thank you so much, JR! I like the style!
The intelligence officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to go on the record, said agents were trying to get more details about the identities and nationalities of the dead insurgents.
Translation: They don't know who they killed; however, I know they were ALL INNOCENTS because 9/11 was an INSIDE JOB engineered by the CIA and Mossad (with help from select U.S. government officials in key positions of power)!
Army spokesmen were not immediately available for comment.
Mullen met yesterday with Pakistan’s army chief, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, who was recently granted a three-year term extension, a sign of the desire for continuity in Pakistan’s battle against Islamist extremists.
The American Embassy described Mullen’s visit as being part of “the regular bilateral consultations between the US and Pakistan.’’
US missile strikes regularly pound extremist targets in the northwest. South Waziristan has witnessed several major Pakistani military operations since the Sept. 11 attacks on the United States.
They do not make a lot of noise over here.
Washington has relied heavily on its covert missile campaign to take out Al Qaeda, Afghan Taliban, and their local supporters in North and South Waziristan tribal regions, which are hiding places for insurgents.
Most of the strikes have hit targets in North Waziristan — home to several militant networks that attack US forces in Afghanistan.
Although Pakistan publicly condemns the missile strikes, it has secretly helped Washington in previous attacks.
That's why their government isn't that popular back home.
In retaliation, militants have been attacking Pakistani security forces and government officials in addition to carrying out suicide bombings across the country.
Yesterday, gunmen killed the son of northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province’s information minister, Mian Iftikhar Hussain, who comes from a secular party and is highly critical of the Taliban.
Hussain’s son, a government servant, was killed by two gunmen in his native Naushehra district while out for a stroll, police official Nisar Khan said. Pakistani Interior Minister Rehman Malik attributed the killing to Taliban militants. “This is the price we are paying,’’ he said.
Pakistan’s importance to the American war effort in Afghanistan has been underscored by how frequently top US political and military leaders pass through Islamabad and nearby Rawalpindi, where the Pakistani Army has its headquarters.

And who benefits?
American officials have made it clear they would like to see aggressive action taken against Taliban militants like the Al Qaeda-allied Haqqani network that is based in Pakistan but fights mostly in Afghanistan.

"US drones kill 12 near Afghan border" by Associated Press | July 26, 2010
DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Pakistan — Unmanned US aircraft fired missiles at houses in two parts of northwestern Pakistan yesterday, killing at least 12 militants in attacks that occurred hours apart, intelligence officials said.
Did that say HOUSES?
The United States has launched more than 100 missile strikes in Pakistan’s semiautonomous tribal area along the Afghan border over the past several years. Most of them have targeted militants in North and South Waziristan, important sanctuaries for Afghan and Pakistani Taliban fighters.
I think it is a LOT MORE!
The first strike took place around midday when aircraft fired four missiles at a house in Shaktoi, a village along the border of North and South Waziristan, killing five suspected militants, intelligence officials said.
"Suspected?"
The attack also wounded four suspected militants, said the officials, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to the media. Later, two missiles hit a house in Taipi village near Miran Shah, the main town in North Waziristan, killing seven suspected militants, said the officials.
So what is left of the houses?
Anything?
Can YOU IMAGINE FOUR MISSILES flying into YOUR HOME, Americans?
The strikes came a day after US missiles targeting a compound in the Nazai Narai area of South Waziristan killed 16 suspected militants.
The United States refuses to publicly acknowledge the CIA-run drone program in Pakistan.
No, because then they would be acknowledging war crimes.

"Bomb kills 7 near Pakistani aide’s home" by Associated Press | July 27, 2010
PABBI, Pakistan — A Taliban suicide bomber struck yesterday near the home of a Pakistani provincial minister whose only son was recently killed by the militants, officials said. Seven people were killed and 25 wounded.
Mian Iftikhar Hussain, information minister of Khyber-Pakhtoonkhwa province and an outspoken critic of the Taliban, was the apparent target. He was receiving condolences from visitors elsewhere in Pabbi at the time of the blast and was safe. Some of his relatives were also receiving mourners at a mosque near the house, and two were hurt, police said.
The Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility for the bombing, saying their goal was to kill Hussain because his political party is allied with the United States. The Awami National Party is a secular-leaning political group that has been outspoken against militant activity in Pakistan.
“This is just beginning,’’ Taliban spokesman Ahsanullah Ahsan said by telephone. “We will carry out more attacks against the party. We will destroy their roots.’’
Of course, the call was traced, right?
The attack showed the dangers facing those in Pakistan who take high-profile positions against the Islamist militants who have wreaked havoc in the country over the last several years.
What do you think the missiles have done?
Hussain is frequently the official who shows up at the scenes of bombings in the northwestern province to condemn the Taliban and allied insurgent factions.
Pretty visible for a guy they want to kill.
On Saturday, his son, Rashid Hussain, was gunned down in the same area of Nowshera district, an attack that Ahsan, the Taliban spokesman, said was also carried out by the group.
Reporters cell must have a call-back number, right?
The suicide bomber yesterday was on a motorcycle and was rushing toward the minister’s home when intercepted by security officials, senior police official Liaquat Ali Khan said. The bomber, believed to be a young boy, then set off his explosives.
I was almost ready to believe it until that last bit of over-the-top propaganda.

And I'm surprised this wasn't blamed on the Taliban terrorists:

Occupation Iraq: The Boys Are Back in Town
Why wouldn't they be?
They just got out of prison.
"Bold attack seeks to reassert Al Qaeda presence in Baghdad; 16 security officials killed in daylight at checkpoint" by Rebecca Santana, Associated Press | July 30, 2010
BAGHDAD — Militants flew an Al Qaeda flag over a Baghdad neighborhood yesterday after killing 16 security officials and burning some of their bodies in a brazen afternoon attack that served as a grim reminder of continued insurgent strength in Iraq’s capital.
A LITERAL FALSE FLAG WAVING in YO' FACE, America!!
It was the bloodiest attack in a day that included the deaths of 23 Iraqi soldiers, police officers, and other security forces across the country who were targeted by shootings and roadside bombs.
The mayhem serves as a stark warning that insurgents are trying to make a comeback....
A day before the Azamiyah attack, Vice President Joe Biden predicted there would not be an extreme outbreak of sectarian violence in Iraq as all but 50,000 US forces leave the country at the end of August. He said the American troops left behind would be more than enough to help Iraqi forces maintain security.
“I can’t guarantee anything, but I’m willing to bet everything that there will be no such explosion,’’ Biden said on NBC’s “Today’’ show.
Well, he would know!
CIA calling off the "CIA-Duh" dogs, Joe?
Still, the Obama administration is keeping a wary eye on Iraq’s security. White House officials said Biden is sending two of his top national security advisers to Baghdad this weekend to help push along Iraq’s stalled political process in a sign of impatience and concern that sectarian tensions could escalate as the American forces withdraw.
It has been more than four months since Iraq’s March 7 election, with little indication that a government can be formed before the Muslim holiday of Ramadan begins in mid-August and brings a halt to business in much of the Middle East.
We have to learn more about these Muslim holidays, America.
Whadda ya' mean business comes to a halt? Unimaginable!
As politicians bicker, Iraqis point to such violent attacks as yesterday’s as a clear indication that terror groups are trying to use the instability to regroup....
Uh-huh.

Dry Turkey For Israel
Wouldn't you be if they tried to overthrow your government and murdered your citizens on aid mission?
"Warplanes target Kurdish rebels
ANKARA -- Turkish warplanes launched air raids at suspected Kurdish rebel positions in northern Iraq yesterday after a rebel attack on a military outpost in Turkey touched off clashes in which nine soldiers and 12 rebel fighters died, Turkey's military and reports said.
Rebel fighters? Not insurgents or militants?
Israel must be mad at Turkey if they are being treated this way in the AmeriKan mouthpiece of a paper.
Two other soldiers were killed in a land mine explosion while chasing the rebels, the state-run Anatolia news agency reported, raising the overall death toll in yesterday's violence to 23 (AP)."

"Suspected Kurdish rebels kill 5 in Istanbul blast; Bomb targeted military bus; security boosted" by Selcan Hacaoglu, Associated Press | June 23, 2010
ANKARA, Turkey — Kurdish rebels detonated a remote-controlled bomb in Istanbul yesterday, killing five people and wounding 12 on a bus carrying military personnel and their families, officials said.
Authorities increased security across Turkey, fearing more attacks.
The dead included the 17-year-old daughter of an officer, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said. The bombing raised the number of Turkish soldiers killed in rebel attacks since Friday to 17.
The Kurdistan Freedom Falcons, an offshoot of the autonomy-seeking Kurdistan Workers Party, or PKK, claimed responsibility for the attack, the pro-Kurdish Firat News agency reported. The group operates in Turkish cities and has claimed several deadly bombings in past years.
It's always the same old script when it comes to "terrorists!"
See what bucking USrael will do to you, world!?
The last major bomb attack in the city was in 2007, when 17 people were killed. Authorities increased security across the nation, fearing new Kurdish rebel suicide attacks or bombings in tourist resorts and cities.
Energy Minister Taner Yildiz yesterday said security along two major oil pipelines running from Central Asia and Iraq was also improved.
Just wanted you to know the underlying motivations for many things there. It is one of the interests the corporate press represents.
The rebels repeatedly blew up the Iraqi oil pipeline in the past, cutting oil flow to world markets for days.
Until Obama gets his darn global fart tax, dammit!

"Turkey tightens Internet control" by Suzan Fraser, Associated Press | June 26, 2010
ANKARA, Turkey — The controversy is a setback for Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s government, which won plaudits for democratic reforms but now stands accused of placing Turkey in the same class as countries already notorious for tight Internet controls....
Even for Turkey, exercising control of the Internet is not new.
It's "not new" for any government because they are even trying to do it here.
The country began blocking access to websites in 2007, after parliament adopted a law against cyber crime in an effort to curb child porn, prevent the dissemination of terrorist propaganda, and stamp out illegal gambling. Websites deemed disrespectful of Turkey’s founder, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, and of religious beliefs were also outlawed.
Can't say I don't agree with a couple of them, and as for the others, we know who is behind them.

So do the Turks:
"Turkey closes airspace to some Israeli flights; Tensions between former allies rise over deadly raid" by Suzan Fraser, Associated Press | June 29, 2010
ANKARA, Turkey — Turkey has closed its airspace to some Israeli military flights after a deadly raid on a Gaza-bound aid ship, the Turkish prime minister and officials said yesterday. An official said civilian commercial flights were not affected.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan told reporters in Toronto that Turkey imposed a ban on Israeli flights after the May 31 raid on a Turkish ship that was part of a six-vessel international aid flotilla, according to the state-run Anatolia news agency. The prime minister, who is in Canada to attend a summit of the Group of 20 major industrial and developing nations, did not elaborate.
A Turkish government official said, however, that the ban was for Israeli military flights and that commercial flights were not affected. It was not a blanket ban and each flight request would be assessed case-by-case, the official added. The official spoke on condition of anonymity, in line with government rules that bar officials from speaking to journalists without prior authorization.
On Sunday, Israel’s Yediot Ahronot newspaper reported that Turkey had not allowed a plane carrying Israeli military officers, en route to a tour of memorial sites in Auschwitz, Poland, to fly over Turkish airspace.
Oh, yeah, that was a REAL STICK in the ZIONIST EYE!!
Release the KURDISH!!!!
The transport plane, with more than 100 officers on board, was forced to make a detour, the paper said.
I sense anger in that plane.
International criticism of the May 31 raid forced Israel and Egypt to ease movement of people and goods across Gaza’s land borders.
Egypt did it willingly after what Israel did, but I don't want to quibble over endless distortions and lies today.
The naval blockade of the coastal territory, which Israel sees as necessary to keep weapons out, remains in place.
Yeah, the SAD FACT of the matter is NOTHING HAS REALLY CHANGED!
If it had, wouldn't Israel's public press organs being giving us glowing stories on how Palestinians are building themselves up after Israel was so benevolent and generous and lifted the siege?
Wouldn't we have heard the pounding of hammers on our television screens as we are told the "Gazans are getting back on their feet?"
Turkey’s government unofficially backed the flotilla’s attempt to challenge the Gaza blockade maintained by Israel, a country that was until recently one of Turkey’s close allies.
That's what happens when you continually stab someone in the back, Israel.
Don't you get it?
Turkey recalled its ambassador to Israel in response to the raid, which took the lives of eight Turks and one Turkish-American.
AS IF the kid was MORE TURKISH than American, right, jewsmedia?
I mean, COME ON!!!
And ask yourself this, readers:
Do you EVER SEE Israeli-American as a DESCRIPTION?
Case closed.
In Jerusalem yesterday, the chief investigator of the Israeli commission of inquiry into the raid announced....
ISRAEL INVESTIGATING ITSELF?
No thanks. I read enough s*** in my morning newspaper.
The incident occurred on board the Turkish ship Mavi Marmara, which was intercepted by helicopter-borne Israeli commandos as it sailed in a six-ship flotilla carrying pro-Palestinian activists and supplies to the Gaza Strip.
Were the HAITIAN RELIEF workers described as "pro-Haitian?"
No, they were JUST AID WORKERS and ACTIVISTS!
The IMPLICATION in my ZIONIST MSM is that the aid people are ANTI-ISRAEL!!
When you consider what they stand for these days, who in their right mind would be "pro-Israel" anyway?
Only other mass-murdering war machines as far as I can figure.
Five ships were commandeered without incident, but some of the 600 activists on the Mavi Marmara, owned by a Turkish Islamic charity, resisted, and the soldiers opened fire.
Of course, some were shot in the back and head several times as the Israelis came down guns blazing (the whole world has watched the videos), but you can take the distorted PoS background as truth, Americans.
Nice little dollop for you!
The soldiers, seven of whom were wounded, said their lives were in danger. Activists called their actions self defense.
Yeah, the poor.... pirates?
Although Israel has said the blockade is necessary to keep weapons out of the hands of Hamas, it has come under heavy international criticism over the raid. The appointment of the commission was meant to defuse widespread calls for an international inquiry.
You know, that is the REASON NO ONE LIKES THEM ANYMORE!!!!!
They are SO INSINCERE and ALWAYS HAVE SELF-SERVING ULTERIOR MOTIVES!!!
While the United States has voiced support, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon wants an international inquiry as well as the Israeli panel.
Hey, look!
He's straddling the barbed-wire Israeli fences!

Not a secret any longer as Israel's press office -- otherwise known as the New York Times -- puts out a release.
While it was unclear whether Israel and Turkey made any progress in resolving their differences, the meeting created a potentially damaging rift within the Israeli government.

UN is frikkin' useless. Another tool serving Israel.
And hey, readers, psssssssst....
"Turkish, Israeli officials hold secret talks" by New York Times | July 1, 2010
I already do not trust it.
TEL AVIV — The Turkish foreign minister and an Israeli Cabinet member met secretly yesterday in Europe to try to defuse the crisis that erupted after Israel’s deadly raid on a Turkish aid boat bound for Gaza....
Not a secret any longer as Israel's press office -- otherwise known as the New York Times -- puts out a release.
While it was unclear whether Israel and Turkey made any progress in resolving their differences, the meeting created a potentially damaging rift within the Israeli government.
You can't see my smile....
Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said he had not been informed of the meeting, and he lashed out at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu....
Cannibalize yourselves, you f***s.
Netanyahu’s statement blamed technical reasons for the failure to notify Lieberman.
That excuse is getting a little old, ain't it?
Already used that when Biden got his face shat in by Israel.

"US overestimating ability of Afghan military, report says; Finding takes aim at prime element of war strategy" by Anne Flaherty, Associated Press | June 29, 2010
WASHINGTON — The United States has often overestimated the ability of Afghan military and police units to fight on their own, jeopardizing the strategy to win the war and bring troops home, according to an independent report released yesterday.
We call them LIES around here!
The investigation is the first objective look at the rating system the military has used for the past five years to judge the effectiveness of Afghan troops. Its findings contradict upbeat assessments recently provided by senior military commanders overseeing the war.
The capability of Afghan forces is considered the single biggest indicator of whether the war is going well and is seen as the linchpin in the US strategy....
Silly me, I thought it was the number of dead people (or lack thereof).
The United States has spent $27 billion on the effort — about half of the money it has poured into rebuilding Afghanistan. But the program has been hobbled by a shortage of trainers and available Afghans, and by spikes in violence....
I'm SURE GLAD you had $27 BILLION dollars to WASTE, American taxpayers!

"NATO retools its effort to train country’s police; Adds incentives to attract a higher quality of recruits" by Joby Warrick, Washington Post | July 4, 2010
WASHINGTON — The alliance is shaking up existing training programs and adding new incentives in an attempt to turn around what has been one of the biggest, most enduring disappointments of the nearly nine-year-old war: the inability to transform the country’s 90,000 police officers into a professional force capable of assuming control of local security....
But significant progress!
A crucial step is helping ensure that police officers get the money that is owed them.
You mean they HAVEN'T BEEN PAID?
WHERE is all the F***ING MONEY GOING!!
Instead of being paid by their commanders — who often pocket some cash — officers receive their paychecks directly through ATM cards or bank credits sent to their cellphones. Because many officers are illiterate, “some of these guys never even realized how much they were supposed to be paid,’’ said Marine Colonel Gregory T. Breazile, spokesman for NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan....
Many police officers quit because of fear, Taliban intimidation, or because they could make more money elsewhere, said a defense official who studied the attrition trends.
Oh, like our soldiers who join Blackwater after discharge!
NATO and Afghan officials acknowledge that fixing the country’s policing problems could take years, partly because police units are by nature decentralized.
After we have BEEN THERE YEARS!
The officials also acknowledge the difficulty of rooting out corruption, a time-honored tradition in many districts where officers feel compelled to find ways to supplement wages that average $200 a month.
WHEREVER WESTERN GOVERNMENTS are to be FOUND!!!
The widespread practice of extracting fees and bribes has so undermined support for police that some districts seem to prefer having no police at all.

Taliban Nursed AmeriKan Military Man Back to Health
"Mortenson took a wrong turn into the village of Korphe, was nursed back to health by the villagers"
What?
"Unlikely tutor gives advice to military; ‘Three Cups of Tea’ author offers help" by Elisabeth Bumiller, New York Times | July 18, 2010
WASHINGTON — In the frantic last hours of General Stanley A. McChrystal’s command in Afghanistan, when the world wondered what was racing through his mind, he reached out to an unlikely corner of his life: the author of the book “Three Cups of Tea,’’ Greg Mortenson....
In the past year, Mortenson and his Central Asia Institute, responsible for the construction of more than 130 schools in Afghanistan and Pakistan, mostly for girls, set up some three dozen meetings between McChrystal or his senior staff members and village elders across Afghanistan.
Related:
"She taught at one of the handful of girls’ schools the Taliban permitted"
Huh?
The collaboration, which grew in part out of the popularity of “Three Cups of Tea’’ among military wives who told their husbands to read it, extends to the office of Admiral Mike Mullen, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Last summer, Mullen attended the opening of one of Mortenson’s schools in Pushghar, a remote village in Afghanistan’s Hindu Kush mountains.
Mortenson — who for a time lived out of his car in Berkeley, Calif. — has also spoken at dozens of military bases, seen his book go on required reading lists for senior American military commanders, and had lunch with General David H. Petraeus, McChrystal’s replacement. On Friday he was in Tampa to meet with Admiral Eric T. Olson, the officer in charge of the US Special Operations Command. Mortenson, 52, thinks there is no military solution in Afghanistan — he says the education of girls is the real long-term fix — so he has been startled by the Defense Department’s embrace.
“I never, ever expected it,’’ Mortenson, a former Army medic, said in an interview from Florida, where he had paused between military briefings, book talks for a sequel, “Stones Into Schools,’’ and fund-raising appearances for his institute.
Mortenson, who said he had accepted no money from the military and had no contractual relationship with the Defense Department, was critical of the armed forces in the days after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks as “laptop warriors’’ who appeared, he said, indifferent to the civilian casualties inflicted by the American bombardment of Afghanistan.
In its early days “Three Cups of Tea,’’ the story of Mortenson’s efforts to build schools in Pakistan, was largely ignored by the military, and for that matter by most everyone else. Written with a journalist, David Oliver Relin, and published in hardcover by Viking in March 2006, the book had only modest sales. Most major newspapers did not review it.
But the book’s message of the importance of girls’ education caught on when women’s book clubs, church groups, and high schools began snapping up the less expensive paperback published in January 2007. Sales to date are at 4 million copies in 41 countries, and the book’s yarn is well known: Disoriented after a 1993 failed attempt on Pakistan’s K2, the second-highest mountain in the world, Mortenson took a wrong turn into the village of Korphe, was nursed back to health by the villagers and, in gratitude, vowed to build them a school.
And then the AmeriKan drone came along and blew it up.

WickedLeaks
Before relaying the MSM accounts I would just like you to know more about where they come from and why you should question them:
"WIKILEAKS/WIKIPEDIA: TRUTH serving LIES (with CIA/MOSSAD oversight)
"All this 'whistleblowing' does little other than serve the interests of the US possibly expanding their war... We know that the powers-that-be are determined to control both sides of every argument. They lead the opposition against themselves. That's why "Stop The War" will not even MENTION 9/11 Truth and exclude from the ranks of their leadership anyone who wants to raise reasonable questions about the events of 9/11...
Wikileaks founder Julian Assange is 'annoyed' by 9/11 truth. That there IN ITSELF makes him, to any sensible person, a placeman of the security services.

Asian intelligence sources reportedly state that: "Wikileaks is running a disinformation campaign, crying persecution by U.S. intelligence- when it is U.S. intelligence itself." (soros & co back wikileaks / kosher mob & oval office)"
"Dangerous Conspiracy Theories
The sudden and widespread popular reactions to the Wikileaks story which contains proof of US and NATO war crimes, demonstrates the potential powderkeg to be tapped by the right torcher-bearer. Government leaders undoubtably understood the great potential danger risked by allowing the release of the Wiki documents, but, being the practitioners of Nazi mind-science that they are, they fully understood the potential rewards to be reaped by the correct handling of the leaks and Western reporting on them. Popular emphasis upon the Pakistani angle of Wiki revelations could help create a national consensus for attacking Taliban bases in Pakistan.
The Wikileaks were a document dump, intended to overwhelm researchers and to preoccupy they, studying the Empire’s past moves, in order to distract us from our new focus upon the present, looking towards the future. Look for the release of an even greater document dump from Wikileaks in the near future, as they dump their Iraq files onto the Internet. Another effect of the Wiki document dump is that it has flooded search engines with countless new variations on the search for “American war crimes,” or info on important key battles or screw-ups, making it even more impossible to find information on Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, or anything covered in the leaks. This will muddy the waters for us even more and make it even less likely in the future that we will stumble across important evidence of ongoing criminal activity.

Papers reveal doubt Pakistan is true US ally (By Mark Mazzetti, New York Times)
I already had enough FRONT-PAGE reading:
"Leaked archive casts stark light on Afghan war; US classified files depict grim trends, ally’s failings" by C.J. Chivers, New York Times | July 26, 2010
NEW YORK — A six-year archive of classified military documents made public yesterday offers an unvarnished ground-level picture of the war in Afghanistan that is in many respects more grim than the official portrayal.
Translation: You have been and are being lied to, Americans.
The secret documents, being released on the Internet by an organization called WikiLeaks, are a daily diary of an American-led force often starved for resources and attention as it struggled against an insurgency that grew larger, better coordinated, and more deadly each year.
The New York Times, the British newspaper The Guardian, and the German magazine Der Spiegel were given access to the voluminous records several weeks ago on the condition that they not report on the material before yesterday.
The documents — some 92,000 reports spanning parts of two administrations from January 2004 through December 2009 — illustrate in mosaic detail why, after the United States has spent almost $300 billion on the war in Afghanistan, the Taliban are stronger than at any time since 2001....
It's time to cut our losses and leave, America.
Oh, APOLOGIZING ALL the way out!
The documents sketch a war hamstrung by an Afghan government, police force, and army of questionable loyalty and competence, and by a Pakistani military that appears at best uncooperative and at worst working from the shadows as an unspoken ally of the very insurgent forces the American-led coalition is trying to defeat.
The material is being published as Congress and the public grow increasingly skeptical of the deepening involvement in Afghanistan and its chances for success as next year’s deadline to begin withdrawing troops looms.
The archive is a vivid reminder that the Afghan conflict until recently was a second-class war, with money, troops, and attention lavished on Iraq while soldiers and Marines lamented that the Afghans they were training were not being paid.
I'm offended by the insulting terminology.
WARS are NEVER SECOND-CLASS here, f***er!!!!!!
The reports shed light on some elements of the war that have been largely hidden from the public eye:
Well, gee, whose fault would that be, s*** MSM?
■ The documents suggest that Pakistan, ostensibly an ally of the United States, allows representatives of its spy service to meet directly with the Taliban in secret strategy sessions to organize networks of militant groups that fight against American soldiers in Afghanistan, and even hatch plots to assassinate Afghan leaders.
The records also contain firsthand accounts of American anger at Pakistan’s unwillingness to confront insurgents who launched attacks near Pakistani border posts, moved openly by the truckload across the frontier, and retreated to Pakistani territory for safety.
And it is the NYT bringing you these revelations, huh?
The same s***ters who front-paged and screamed the Iraq lies?
■ The Taliban have used portable heat-seeking missiles against allied aircraft, a fact that has not been publicly disclosed by the military. This type of weapon helped the Afghan mujahedeen defeat the Soviet occupation in the 1980s.
Time to leave before we become the Soviets, America.
You know what happened to their empire, right?
■ Secret commando units like Task Force 373 — a classified group of Army and Navy special operatives — work from a “capture/kill list’’ of about 70 top insurgent commanders. These missions, which have been stepped up under the Obama administration, claim notable successes, but have sometimes gone wrong, killing civilians and stoking Afghan resentment.
In other words, HE IS WORSE than GEORGE BUSH when it comes to Afghans!
■ The military employs more and more drone aircraft to survey the battlefield and strike targets in Afghanistan, although their performance is less impressive than officially portrayed. Some crash or collide, forcing American troops to undertake risky retrieval missions before the Taliban can claim the drone’s weaponry.
But, but, but.... my AmeriKan newspaper always tells me the whole truth, doesn't it?
■ The Central Intelligence Agency has expanded paramilitary operations inside Afghanistan. The units launch ambushes, order airstrikes, and conduct raids. From 2001 to 2008, the CIA paid the budget of Afghanistan’s spy agency and ran it as a virtual subsidiary.
That is BECAUSE it IS!
And I'm GLAD you had the TAX DOLLARS to DO ALL THIS, America!!
Overall, the documents do not contradict official accounts of the war. But in some cases the documents show that the American military made misleading public statements: attributing the downing of a helicopter to conventional weapons instead of heat-seeking missiles or giving Afghans credit for missions carried out by Special Operations commandos.
Oh, I'M SHOCKED!!!
The AmeriKan military lied!
Is there NOTHING you can believe in anymore?!!
White House officials vigorously denied that the Obama administration had presented a misleading portrait of the war in Afghanistan....
I'm already sick of his s** administration.
NEXT!
The archive is clearly an incomplete record of the war. It is missing many references to seminal events and does not include more highly classified information. The documents also do not cover events in 2010....
They suggest that the military’s internal assessments of the prospects for winning over the Afghan public, especially in the early days, were often optimistic, even naive.
There are fleeting — even taunting — reminders of how the war began in the occasional references to the elusive Osama bin Laden. In some reports he is said to be attending meetings in Quetta, Pakistan.
HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!!
Pretty good movement for a DEAD GUY!!
You will need that to get him to the meeting.
Bin Laden has supposedly ordered a suicide attack against the Afghan president, Hamid Karzai. These reports all seem secondhand at best.
I was thinking of something else, NYT.
Yeah, that is it!!!
The reports portray a resilient, canny insurgency that has bled American forces through a war of small cuts. The insurgents set the war’s pace, usually fighting on ground of their own choosing and then slipping away.
And HERE WE AmeriKans were told WE ARE IN CHARGE and WE ARE WINNING and OUR PLANS are SUCCEEDING!
You know, THIS "leak" DESTROYS any future faith in this government or MSM.
Once again we see ANOTHER BACKFIRE by tPtB!
Sabotage and trickery have been weapons every bit as potent as small arms, mortars, or suicide bombers. So has Taliban intimidation of Afghan officials and civilians, applied with pinpoint pressure. The insurgents use a network of spies, double agents, collaborators, and informers — anything to undercut coalition forces and the effort to build a credible and effective government capable of delivering security and services.
They have their own CIA and FBI?
And they are ONE-UP on you over that LAST ONE, Americans!
The reports repeatedly describe instances when the insurgents have been seen wearing government uniforms, and other times when they have appeared for battle in the very pickup trucks that the United States had provided the Afghan army and police force.
Related: The Boston Globe's Invisible Ink: False Flags Flying High in Afghanistan
WTF?
The reports paint a disheartening picture of the Afghan police and soldiers at the center of the American exit strategy.
What exit?
The Pentagon is spending billions of dollars to train the Afghan forces to secure the country. But the police have proved to be an especially risky investment and are often described as distrusted, even loathed, by Afghan civilians.
Those are OUR GUYS!
The reports recount episodes of police brutality, corruption petty and large, extortion, and kidnapping.
We trained them well.
Some police officers defect to the Taliban. Others are accused of collaborating with insurgents.
The documents also show how American efforts to help rebuild Afghanistan through provincial reconstruction teams ran up against a bewildering array of problems as they tried to win over the public by helping repair dams and bridges, build schools, and train local authorities.
After knocking them down and killing their families and friends.
Incident by incident, the reports show ways Afghan civilians were killed — not just in airstrikes but in ones and twos — in misunderstandings or in a cross-fire, or in chaotic moments when Afghan drivers ventured too close to convoys and checkpoints.
Yup PICKING THEM OFF one-by-one!
The dead, the reports indicate, were not suicide bombers or insurgents, and many of the cases were not reported to the public at the time. The toll of the war — reflected in mounting civilian casualties — left the Americans seeking cooperation from an Afghan population that grew steadily more exhausted, resentful, fearful, and alienated.
It is TIME FOR US to LEAVE, AmeriKa!!
I mean RIGHT NOW!!!
--more--"
And something is up when the articles keep appearing in the agenda-pushing paper day after day after day!
"WikiLeaks emerges as superpower in antisecrecy fight; Website defends decision to release classified reports" by Ellen Nakashima, Washington Post | July 27, 2010
Oh, now my CIA paper tells me they are a superpower!
WASHINGTON — WikiLeaks, an amorphous network run by volunteers in more than a dozen countries, gained global prominence this year when it posted a video of a secret US military helicopter attack in Iraq that killed civilians.
An edited, 17-minute version of the gunship-footage video appeared on WikiLeaks on April 5 under the heading “collateral murder,’’ a label that drew harsh criticism from military officials and many media commentators.
Also see: Wikileaks Whistleblower
In this case, rather than conduct its assessment of the documents, WikiLeaks selectively provided the files to the Times, the London-based Guardian newspaper and the German magazine Der Spiegel. The outlets agreed to publish simultaneously, though each organization did its own reporting and produced its own stories.
This is where they started losing me and where I started smelling something.
The move to let established journalistic organizations do the reporting and analysis “may reflect a maturing of the organization and model that they have adopted,’’ said Steven Aftergood, director of the Federation for American Scientists’ Project on Government Secrecy.
Then NOTHING that comes forth from them shall be considered credible or coming without an agenda -- considering the MSM's record.
The news organizations said they agreed they would not disclose anything likely to put lives at risk or jeopardize military or antiterrorist operations....

WASHINGTON — A senior ISI official, speaking on condition of anonymity, sharply condemned the reports as “part of the malicious campaign to malign the spy organization’’ and said the ISI would “continue to eradicate the menace of terrorism with or without the help of the West.’’
Expressing dismay over the reports, the official said the Pakistan military and its spy organization had suffered tremendously while leading the forefront of the war against terror. “Pakistan is the biggest victim of terrorism,’’ he said. “Why then are we still targeted?’’ he asked....
I'll tell you in a minute.
Farhatullah Babar, spokesman for President Asif Ali Zardari, questioned how Pakistan could possibly have the kind of connections to the Taliban that some of the reports suggest, asking if “those who are alleging that Pakistan is playing a double game are also asserting that President Zardari is presiding over an apparatus that is coordinating attacks on the general headquarters, mosques, shrines, schools, and killing Pakistani citizens?’’
Okay:
"Now stop and think here for a moment. All revolutions depend on public support. Revolutionaries try to first win the people before they take on the government. So, no revolutionary goes out and murders civilians in cold blood. Did Washington and his men just mow down a marketplace of their fellow colonials for the heck of it? No, they did not. Washington and the Founding Fathers knew that their revolution to build a new country needed the support of those who would live in that country. This is true for every revolution in history. Therefore, these acts of terror being blamed on the insurgency must all be fakes, committed by intelligence agencies working for the governments to be blamed on the insurgents in order to destroy public support for the revolution." -- Wake the Flock Up
Yes, they are called false flags and the people are catching on all over the world.

"Leaked documents may endanger operatives, officials say; Concerns raised about reaction from US allies" by Kimberly Dozier, Associated Press | July 28, 2010
WASHINGTON — Operatives inside Afghanistan and Pakistan who have worked for the United States against the Taliban or Al Qaeda might be at risk following the disclosure of thousands of US military documents, former and current officials said.
As the Obama administration scrambles to repair any political damage to the war effort in Congress and among the American public by the WikiLeaks revelations, there are also growing concerns that some US allies abroad may ask whether they can trust America to keep secrets, officials said....

"Pentagon studies possible risks to Afghans from leaked documents" by Eric Schmitt, New York Times | July 29, 2010
WASHINGTON — The Pentagon is reviewing tens of thousands of classified battlefield reports made public this week about the war in Afghanistan to determine whether Afghan informants were identified and could be at risk of reprisals, US officials said yesterday....
A search by The New York Times through a sampling of the documents released by the organization WikiLeaks found reports that gave the names of dozens of Afghans credited with providing credible information to US and NATO troops.
The Times and two other publications given access to the documents — the British newspaper the Guardian and the German magazine Der Spiegel — had posted online only selected examples from documents that had been redacted to eliminate names and other information that could be used to identify people at risk. The news organizations did this to avoid jeopardizing the lives of informants....
National security officials, meanwhile, are worried that the attention WikiLeaks has received in the past week has elevated its profile and could be used to entice disgruntled officials to send classified information to its website, which solicits “classified, censored, or otherwise restricted material of political, diplomatic, or ethical significance’’ and asserts that “submitting confidential material to WikiLeaks is safe, easy, and protected by law.’’
So it IS a CIA/MOSSAD TRAP!!!!
One US official, speaking on the condition of anonymity because of the investigation, said government lawyers were exploring whether WikiLeaks and the founder of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, could be charged with a crime.
Of course, when you INVADE NATIONS over LIES and KILL MILLIONS it is not a crime and it can continue!
One question, some lawyers said, is whether WikiLeaks and Assange could be charged with inducing or serving as coconspirators in violations of the Espionage Act, which prohibits the unauthorized disclosure of national security information.
Then SHIP HIM OFF to Israel like we do the rest of 'em!
At a press club in London on Tuesday, Assange said that before the most recent disclosure of documents, WikiLeaks had been warned by officials in the US government that there had been “thoughts of whether I could be charged as a coconspirator to espionage, which is serious.’’
“That doesn’t seem to be the thinking within the United States anymore, however,’’ he added.
He did not elaborate.
Mission accomplished, 'eh?
But yesterday, Senator Lindsey Graham, a Republican from South Carolina, said on Fox News that WikiLeaks should be prosecuted for its role, saying, “As far as I know, there’s no immunity for a website to be able to pass on documents’’ that were illegally leaked.
How about the LEAKING of a CIA AGENTS name to discredit a report that didn't back up war lies?
At a Senate Judiciary Committee oversight hearing yesterday, Senator Jon Kyl, an Arizona Republican, pressed FBI Director Robert S. Mueller III to say whether he expected prosecutors to charge “both the individuals who provided the information and those who might have been involved in the dissemination of the information.’’
Mueller demurred, saying that “at this juncture, I can’t say as to where that particular investigation will lead.’’
He has to check with Israel first.
Several legal specialists in matters related to leaks of classified information say that prosecuting Assange or WikiLeaks on charges that they had violated the Espionage Act would face many hurdles, from the diplomatic difficulty in persuading a country to arrest and extradite Assange to an array of legal defenses he could mount if the United States managed to detain him. Assange is an Australian activist who has operated in various European cities.
Susan Buckley, a partner at the law firm Cahill Gordon & Reindel who specializes in communications law, said the Espionage Act had rarely been used, so there were few guides for how such a novel case would play out....
But we can hazard a guess.

Is it not interesting that it is Israel's security with which the AmeriKan paper is concerned?
SHARM EL-SHEIKH, Egypt --Under pressure to compromise, Israeli and Palestinian leaders on Tuesday dug into the central issues blocking a peace deal but the latest talks produced no visible progress on the divisive issue of Jewish settlements.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas held an extra, unscheduled session with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, but there was no word on signs of a breakthrough. After the leaders' first meeting at this Red Sea resort, U.S. peace envoy George Mitchell offered reporters a mildly positive assessment....

Mitchell plans to travel to Syria and Lebanon later in the week to consult on the peace process. The Obama administration's goal is a comprehensive Mideast settlement that includes Israeli peace deals with Lebanon and Syria in addition to the Palestinians....

"No progress seen on Israeli settlements in talks" by Robert Burns, AP National Security Writer | September 14, 2010
The leaders move on to the holy city of Jerusalem for more discussions Wednesday in another symbolic gesture aimed at underscoring the importance of the negotiations....
Yeah, I knew I smelled something familiar.
Clinton did not comment, but told reporters on the flight to Egypt from Washington on Monday that "the time is ripe" for an agreement based on the notion of a sovereign Palestinian state and a secure Israel....
Mitchell plans to travel to Syria and Lebanon later in the week to consult on the peace process. The Obama administration's goal is a comprehensive Mideast settlement that includes Israeli peace deals with Lebanon and Syria in addition to the Palestinians....
Sort of like Hitler's diplomatic offensive, 'eh?
And the MSM sure is playing down such a huge effort; methinks it's a war deception so they relax their guard.
The ultimate aim is a deal that creates a sovereign Palestinian state beside a secure Israel....
And you know which comes first, dear readers.

Saudi Arabian Shopping List
How much do they have to spend?
"US proposes sale of war planes to Saudis" by Associated Press | September 14, 2010
WASHINGTON — The Obama administration is seeking approval from Congress to sell up to $60 billion worth of sophisticated warplanes to Saudi Arabia and could add another $30 billion worth of naval arms in a deal designed to counter the rise of Iran as a regional power.
The deal would apparently represent the largest single US arms sale ever approved. It would allow Saudi Arabia, the most militarily advanced of the Arab Gulf states and one of the richest countries in the world, to buy top-line US-made helicopters and fighter jets with ranges that would span the Middle East and beyond.
Unlike some previous sales to Saudi Arabia, this one is not expected to be derailed by opposition in Congress or from US backers of Israel, who have worried in the past about blunting Israel’s military edge over its Arab neighbors.
One wonders what "qualitative upgrade" Israel will be offered soon -- if it hasn't been offered on the hush-hush already.
Iran is now seen by Israel, the Gulf Arab states, and the West as a significant and unpredictable threat that has changed the old calculus of the region’s balance of power.
Honestly, I'm so sick of the war drumming I don't even hear it anymore.
Related: Muslims Send Message to Israel
Nobody is listening there.
The United States is realigning its defense policies in the Persian Gulf as Iran improves the range and accuracy of missiles and other weapons that could threaten Israel or US allies in Europe.
And now the Saudis could.
Besides the Saudi deal, the United States has pending or proposed arms sales to Kuwait, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates, and has repositioned some US forces and military assets around the Gulf.
Invasion after election, world. Smells just like Iraq.
The Pentagon plans to notify Congress of the proposed Saudi sale within about a week, Colonel David Lapan, a spokesman, said yesterday. Lapan would not confirm details of the Saudi shopping list pending congressional notification, but a senior defense official said it includes up to 84 new F-15 fighter jets and three types of helicopters....
It's the only thing we manufacture these days -- but we are all about peace!

"Thai leader offers talks with protesters" by ASSOCIATED PRESS | March 22, 2010
BANGKOK — Thailand’s prime minister said yesterday he will send representatives to hold talks with protesters who have been calling for him to step down, but his antagonists want to meet with him personally.
I'll bet that isn't good enough.
Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva has so far held firm against demands from the so-called Red Shirt movement that he dissolve Parliament and call new elections, though he has said he is willing to consider the idea.
The Red Shirts, formally known as the United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship, have been protesting for a week in Bangkok, and on Saturday showed their strength by having as many as 100,000 protesters clog the capital’s streets with an all-day drive through its major thoroughfares.
Despite tying up traffic, they received an enthusiastic reception from unexpectedly large crowds of onlookers.
The mood soured Saturday night when grenades were tossed at two government-linked targets. At least one person was wounded at the site of a small explosion near the Defense Ministry, but there was no major damage there or at the headquarters of the National Anti-Corruption Commission, where the other blast took place.
A government false flag or agent provocateurs?
Protest leaders during the week disavowed colleagues who threatened violence. No one took responsibility for Saturday night’s blasts.

"Thai leader, protesters to talk again" by Associated Press | March 29, 2010
BANGKOK — Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva of Thailand and leaders of antigovernment protests failed to reach an agreement yesterday in nationally televised talks on how to solve the country’s political crisis. They said they would try again today.
The talks marked a civilized pause after weeks of demonstrations and fiery rhetoric that prompted Abhisit to seek refuge at an army base.
The two sides sat across a conference table from one another and shook hands. With strained smiles, they reiterated their sharply different stances and adjourned three hours later no closer to a resolution. They agreed to meet again tonight.
“Our request is simple and direct: Dissolve Parliament for the people to decide again,’’ said Veera Musikapong, a protest leader. He was joined by two other leaders, dressed in their signature red shirts.
So an election can be rigged?
A tense-looking Abhisit — accompanied by two advisers, all wearing blue dress shirts — reiterated his position that dissolving Parliament immediately would not solve Thailand’s deep political crisis.
“I have to make a decision based on a consensus from the entire country, including the Red Shirts,’’ Abhisit said.
Abhisit has repeatedly rejected the protesters’ demands that he dissolve Parliament and call new elections. Thousands of protesters gathered in the historic heart of Bangkok awaiting direction from their leaders on how to respond if the talks failed. During more than two weeks of protests, the number of participants has peaked at more than 100,000.
And dropped since from what was reported weeks ago.
But hey, what is one more MSM distortion and deception, 'eh?
The movement consists largely of supporters of former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who was ousted by a 2006 military coup following allegations of corruption, and prodemocracy activists who opposed the army takeover.

"Thailand protesters occupy business area; ‘Red Shirts’ want Parliament gone" by Kinan Suchaovanich, Associated Press | April 4, 2010
BANGKOK — Thousands of antigovernment protesters occupied the commercial heart of Thailand’s capital yesterday, forcing the closure of major shopping malls, and said they will not leave until the prime minister dissolves Parliament and calls new elections.
They were never interested in talking.
Why would they when they are working for CIA?
The government first ordered them out before the end of the day but as the deadline passed said negotiations would continue today.
It was the fourth weekend demonstration in Bangkok by the mainly poor, rural protesters known as the Red Shirts. They poured into an area of the city lined with upscale hotels and glitzy shopping malls as they groped for tactics to force Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva to meet their demands, after failing to oust his government through peaceful mass marches and negotiations....
The government first gave the protesters until 9 p.m. to disperse and sent senior police officers to negotiate. The talks broke down after the Red Shirts refused to leave and police General Panupong Singhara Na Ayuthaya, who headed the negotiating team, said they would resume today.
“If the government wants to arrest us, they would have to arrest every single one of us,’’ a protest leader, Veera Musikapong, told the crowd, saying they would remain indefinitely. Mobile toilets, food, and water began to arrive, some of it brought in from Bangkok’s historic quarter, where the protesters have been camped since March 12.
Well, THAT CINCHES IT! Someone is aiding them!
“Today’s another day when commoners will declare war to bring democracy to the country. There is no end until we win this battle,’’ another leader, Jatuporn Prompan, said as protesters beat drums and chanted “Dissolve Parliament.’’
Earlier yesterday, protesters swarmed around a Porsche, angrily smashing its windows after its driver bulldozed a line of motorcycles the group had parked. His motive was not known.

Obama's Nuclear Nonsense
Really, it is hard to believe and hard to digest.
Why not some WEB CENSORSHIP for the WORLD, huh?
THIS is what LEADS MY PRINTED PAPER'S WORLD SECTION, dear readers!
"Obama: Al-Qaida would use nuke if it could" by Anne Gearan, AP National Security Writer | April 11, 2010
WASHINGTON --If al-Qaida acquired nuclear weapons it "would have no compunction at using them," President Barack Obama said Sunday on the eve of a summit aimed at finding ways to secure the world's nuclear stockpile.
Oh, REALLY?
So which "Al-CIA-Duh" would that be, huh?
The made-up "Al-CIA-Duh?"
Or the "Al-CIA-Duh" CREATION for the COURTROOM!?

Oh, AmeriKa's MSM KNOWS ALL ABOUT and yet STILL PUSHES the CHARADE, huh?
Yes, the ZIONIST WAR LIES never stop here in New England's largest daily.
Yeah, well, if a CITY GOES UP, do not expect us to believe the cover story that it was with help from Iran, 'kay?
Turns out, the MILITARY KNOWS what WE ALL KNOW: that 9/11 was a MOSSAD OPERATION!
However, if one does mushroom during the next false flag attack, we are GOING TO BLAME "Al-CIA-Duh" and YOU, President Obama!
We will BLAME YOUR GOVERNMENT for FAILING TO PROTECT US and DEMAND the ROLLBACK of the TYRANNY that FAILED to keep us SAFE!!!
Can I MAKE IT ANY CLEARER?
If ISRAEL is allowed to ATTACK THIS NATION in such a way, we will HOLD YOU and YOUR GOVERNMENT RESPONSIBLE, sir!!
Now, what do you have to say to that?
"The single biggest threat to U.S. security, both short-term, medium-term and long-term, would be the possibility of a terrorist organization obtaining a nuclear weapon," Obama said.
Israel already has them.
"This is something that could change the security landscape in this country and around the world for years to come."
So WHEN is the FALSE FLAG, Obama?
"If there was ever a detonation in New York City, or London, or Johannesburg, the ramifications economically, politically and from a security perspective would be devastating," the president said.
Well, HE JUST GAVE YOU the HEADS-UP!!

Get the hell out of dodge, readers!!
"We know that organizations like al-Qaida are in the process of trying to secure nuclear weapons or other weapons of mass destruction, and would have no compunction at using them," Obama said.
And so is Iraq, Iran, and anyone else we don't like or built up as a threat, America.
Haven't you HAD ENOUGH?!!
The Nuclear Security Summit of more than 40 world leaders in Washington this week is aimed at securing "loose nuclear material," Obama said. He was holding one-on-one meetings Sunday with several of those leaders. He said other world leaders have offered "very specific approaches to how we can solve this profound international problem."
Obama singled out South Africa for giving up its nuclear program, and said it "has been a strong, effective leader in the international community on nonproliferation issues. South Africa has special standing in being a moral leader on this issue."
South African President Jacob Zuma was among the leaders Obama met with Sunday at Blair House, across from the White House. Others included Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev....
Even this is a piece of rewritten shit, and I'm tired of it.

"Reports shed light on efforts to secure nuclear materials; Obama increases funding to protect foreign warheads" by Walter Pincus, Washington Post | March 17, 2010
Oh, great, the CIA's favorite newspaper.
Yeah, here is your "news," America.
WASHINGTON — While public attention is focused on a new arms-control treaty between Russia and the United States, the slow, dull work of keeping nuclear warheads and weapons-grade uranium and plutonium protected from terrorists goes on almost unnoticed.
See: Starting in on Russia
The US system: ‘guns, gates, and guards.’
**************
Securing other countries’ nuclear warheads and materials is a focus of President Obama’s fiscal 2011 budget, with a $2.7 billion request for nuclear nonproliferation efforts, up 26 percent from the current year’s spending.
Don't you wish we had never built them like so many of us wanted?
Now we have to pay to destroy them?
Yeah, they have extra dough for this, even though we KNOW who the TERRORISTS are!
This isn't about them at all, this is about GLOBALIST CONTROL over EVERYTHING!
Steven Black, who runs those programs for the National Nuclear Security Administration, defended the increase before the House committee last week as he laid out the variety of efforts to secure nuclear warheads and vulnerable fissile material. The Global Threat Reduction Initiative program, Black told lawmakers, is working to remove 1,168 pounds of weapons-grade highly enriched uranium, or HEU, from countries such as South Africa, Mexico, Serbia, Ukraine, and Belarus....
How about ISRAEL?
In addition, Black is working to convert 10 research reactors in foreign countries to low-enriched uranium, which cannot be used for weapons.
Then WHY CAN'T IRAN have one?
Seven countries have signed cooperative agreements for the switchover, but South Africa and Ukraine are two of the holdouts. “We’re fairly confident the new president of Ukraine will be receptive to the work,’’ Black said....
Related: Ding-Dong, the Witch is Dead!
And away from my agenda-pushing news pages the country went.
Black said the largest part of his budget, about $1 billion, is being spent on programs to dispose of surplus plutonium and HEU. Beyond that, he said, “our priority is to create multiple layers of defense such as deploying radiation-detection monitors at critical transit points so we can intercept this dangerous material as far from our shores as possible.’’
Yeah, this is ALL ABOUT the GLOBAL CONTROL GRID, not "terrorists" getting a bomb!
He said Russia’s Federal Customs Service has agreed to equip all of the country’s approximately 350 border crossings by 2011 with radiation-detection devices and to split the cost with the United States. The United States will pay for 55 similar devices in 19 other countries and four foreign seaports....
Of course, that means YOU will PAY, taxpayers!
All over a DAMN LIE!!!

"Obama to reset policy on using nuclear arms; Bid to eliminate others’ rationale for proliferation" by David E. Sanger, New York Times | April 6, 2010
Yeah, if it is not one it is the other.
WASHINGTON — President Obama said yesterday that he is revamping American nuclear strategy to narrow substantially the conditions under which the United States would use nuclear weapons, even in self-defense.
But the president said in an interview that he is carving out an exception for “outliers like Iran and North Korea’’ that have violated or renounced the treaty to halt nuclear proliferation....
I'm telling you, if I were them, that would not make me feel good at all.
Related: The Boston Globe's Stupid Ideas: Nuclear Disarmament
So that is how Obama and company are going to get rid of them, huh?
By USING THEM?
Also see: Obama Goes Nuclear
Still building new ones, 'eh, Obomber?
White House officials said the new strategy will leave open the option of reconsidering the use of nuclear retaliation against a biological attack, if the development of such weapons reaches a level that makes the United States vulnerable to a devastating strike.
So despite the agenda-pushing MSM fanfare, there IS NO CHANGE!!!
Obama’s new strategy is bound to be controversial, both among conservatives who have warned against diluting America’s most potent deterrent and among liberals who were hoping for a blanket statement that America would never be the first to use nuclear weapons.
Well, I HAVE a NEWS BULLETIN for them: WE ALREADY HAVE!
TWICE!
On the JAPANESE!!!
Nothing like some MSM distortions, 'eh, 'murkn!?
Wouldn't want you looking in the mirror at your WAR CRIMINAL GOVERNMENT!!!
Obama argued for a slower course, saying, “We are going to want to make sure that we can continue to move towards less emphasis on nuclear weapons,’’ and to “make sure that our conventional weapons capability is an effective deterrent in all but the most extreme circumstances.’’
The release of the new strategy, known as the Nuclear Posture Review, opens an intensive nine days of nuclear diplomacy geared toward reducing weapons. Obama plans to fly to Prague to sign a new arms-control agreement with Russia on Thursday, and next week will host 47 world leaders in Washington for a summit on nuclear security.
The most immediate test of the new strategy is likely to be in dealing with Iran, which has defied the international community by developing a nuclear program that it insists is peaceful but that the United States and its allies say is a precursor to weapons. Asked about the escalating confrontation with Iran, Obama said he is now convinced that “the current course they’re on would provide them with nuclear weapons capabilities.’’
So WHEN do the NUKES FLY, Obama?
This as there is NO EVIDENCE that Iran is doing ANY SUCH THING!!
Once again we are being told WAR LIES for the sake of ISRAEL!!!
He dodged when asked whether he shares Israel’s view that a “nuclear capable’’ Iran would be as dangerous as one that actually possessed weapons....
Yeah, he doesn't want to step on those toes; he might end up dead.

JERUSALEM — Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to abruptly cancel a trip to a nuclear conference in Washington spotlighted a key sore point yesterday in international nonproliferation efforts: Israel’s own atomic weapons.
Yeah, he cancelled because he was GOING to be CONFRONTED over it by Turkey and Egypt!!
The Jewish state wants to help lead the charge against allowing nuclear weapons to end up in undesirable hands, even when nobody doubts that Israel itself possesses them.
So that means the Zionist criminals are giving their up, 'ey?
And nothing like more MSM distortions when it comes to Israel, 'eh?
An Israeli official said yesterday that Netanyahu called off his trip after his government received word that participants at next week’s conference would “push an Israel-bashing agenda.’’
Yeah, you guys can't go anywhere now.
One wonders why you lying assholes can't get it through your thick skulls that everybody hates you now for the many things you have done and are doing.

Israel’s official policy of “nuclear ambiguity’’ — neither confirming nor denying that it has nuclear weapons — has long been a cornerstone of its military deterrence. But officials and analysts from various countries, in addition to one well-known Israeli whistle-blower, have all said the truth is not ambiguous: that Israel has dozens, perhaps hundreds, of nuclear bombs.
Yes, the ZIONIST NEWSPAPER can't utter the name Vanunnu, watch.
Muslim countries have long complained of a double standard when the West asks them to stay nuclear-free while turning a blind eye to Israel’s program. Many Israelis see atomic weapons as their ultimate defense against annihilation.
I'm so sick of the whining Jews and their lies!!!
Netanyahu’s announcement that he would be at the summit, which is supposed to focus on how to prevent terrorists from getting nuclear materials, would have made him the first Israeli prime minister to attend an international nuclear forum. The announcement raised some eyebrows at home, with some wondering why Netanyahu would attend a meeting where the words “Israel’’ and “nuclear’’ would inevitably be uttered in the same breath.
Two ministers who asked not to be named said they had warned Netanyahu against going because of the potential for unwanted attention on Israel’s nuclear program.
Don't worry; MSM will not broach this topic again after this Slow Saturday Special!!!!!!
US and diplomatic officials in Washington familiar with Netanyahu’s decision said he opted to bow out after learning that several Muslim nations wanted to use the summit to criticize Israel for not having signed the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty and renew calls for a nuclear-free Middle East.

"Iran derides Obama’s nuclear stance; US allies in Asia, Europe praise bid to reduce arsenal" by Ali Akbar Dareini and George Jahn, Associated Press | April 8, 2010
TEHRAN — US allies yesterday lined up behind President Obama’s new policy aimed at reducing the likelihood of nuclear conflict. But Iran, classified as a possible target under the guidelines, dismissed it as a “cowboy’’ policy by a political newcomer doomed to fail.
President Dmitry Medvedev of Russia, in the Slovak capital, Bratislava, for an official visit, did not address the issue before leaving for Prague to sign a landmark treaty today with Obama aimed at paring US-Russian strategic nuclear weapons by 30 percent. But Washington’s supporters in Asia and Europe welcomed Obama’s pledge Tuesday to reduce America’s nuclear arsenal, refrain from nuclear tests, and not use nuclear weapons against countries that do not have them.
Doesn't it seem odd that he would be praised for such a thing?
North Korea and Iran were not included in that pledge....
All I needed to see.
The United States considers them nuclear rogues — Pyongyang for developing and testing nuclear weapons and Tehran because it is suspected of trying to do the same under the cover of a peaceful program, something Iran denies. Outlining the policy Tuesday, Robert M. Gates, US defense secretary, said the focus would now be on terror groups such as Al Qaeda as well as North Korea’s nuclear buildup and Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
Well, Gates should KNOW ALL ABOUT THEM!
He was WORKING at CIA-Duh in the 1980s!!!
Addressing thousands in the country’s northwest, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran derided Obama. Ahmadinejad said Obama “is under the pressure of capitalists and the Zionists,’’ and vowed Iran would not be pushed around.
My first thought was THEY MISTRANSLATED HIM AGAIN; however, even if not, he is correct!
We all know who this government serves; you would have to be brain-dead not to see it.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel, whose country is the only Mideast nation considered to have nuclear weapons, dismissed speculation the Jewish state could come under pressure. “I’m not concerned that anyone would think that Israel is a terrorist regime,’’ he said. “Everybody knows a terrorist and rogue regime when they see one...’’
Yes, and I am LOOKING at the LEADER of one RIGHT NOW!!!!
Washington’s key European partners on its efforts to contain Iran’s nuclear activities welcomed the Obama initiative....
In Asia, key allies benefiting from being under the US nuclear defense umbrella expressed support, suggesting the Obama statement helped defuse concerns that they would be left vulnerable by a change in Washington’s policy.
“This is a first step toward a nuclear-free world,’’ said Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama of Japan.
They would be the first ones to want one, wouldn't they?

"Alarm over shortage of nuclear experts; US races to draw interest in field" by Bryan Bender, Globe Staff | April 3, 2010
WASHINGTON — The United States is facing a critical shortage of nuclear scientists and engineers, even as demand rises for their expertise in managing an aging US arsenal, monitoring dangerous weapons stockpiles around the world, and operating new nuclear power plants, according to the latest government figures and independent studies....
So? What are we going to need them for?
Related: Obama's Mushroom Cloud of a Bailout
Yeah, it is OKAY if WE BUILD 'EM!!!
To narrow the gap, the Obama administration is proposing to boost a series of programs — including cash bonuses and tuition reimbursement — to persuade a new generation of students to earn degrees in nuclear physics, engineering, and other related disciplines and choose a career in weapons work, according to budget documents.
Yeah, he HAS MONEY for these school programs!
But he wants to REDUCE and ELIMINATE NUKES, sure!
Are you TIRED of the BULLSHIT yet, readers?
The nuclear security agency has also established guidelines requiring contractors that run its weapons laboratories — currently on the order of 30,000 — to recruit and train more workers.
But the government and papers tell us we are cutting back, blah, blah, blah.
So when do the H1-B visas and the illegals start coming to do the work?
Underscoring President Obama’s commitment to the work, his budget request for the agency, unveiled last month, calls for a 13.4 percent increase in fiscal year 2011 to $11.2 billion, the largest increase of any agency.
Yup, the ONLY THINGS GETTING CUTS are SOCIAL PROGRAMS!!
And this is a "change" from the last guy how?
Los Alamos National Laboratory, one of the primary facilities that designs and certifies nuclear weapons, would see a 22 percent increase, the largest since the Manhattan Project built the first atomic bomb in 1944.
So WHAT NEW NUKES are they BUILDING OVER THERE?
“Senior people at Los Alamos tell us that the quality of science has dropped like a stone,’’ said Greg Mello, who runs the Los Alamos Study Group, a think tank in Albuquerque that specializes in nuclear weapons policy. “People with options don’t want to stay.’’
The phenomenon is part of what specialists say is a wider trend: Universities have scaled back some of their degree programs and are not turning out enough graduates in the nuclear sciences to meet national demand in the military and civilian sectors....
The Obama administration last month announced plans for at least two new reactors — the first in three decades — and has expressed support for building more as part of a renaissance in nuclear energy to help reduce reliance on fossil fuels that are damaging the environment....
Yup, THAT FRIKKIN' LIE is why you NEED NUKES!!
It is the erosion of expertise in US nuclear weapons complex — which requires workers to be American citizens and eligible to hold some of the highest security clearances — that is most alarming, officials say.
Aww, I'm really feeling sorry for the over-charging, over-priced, war-criminal state, aren't you?
Maybe all those tax dollars won't be wasted building bombs they will just destroy using taxpapyer dollars later, huh?
It comes as the Obama administration is preparing to make deep cuts in the American arsenal, which many specialists say will place a higher premium on technical know-how. The average age of US weapons is 26 years and with no plans to design new ones, the weapons will need key modifications to ensure they will work , if they are ever deployed.

And what a bummer if we dropped a nuke and it didn't go off, huh?
“There is a paradox,’’ said Thomas P. D’Agostino, undersecretary of energy for nuclear security. “As the number of weapons come down, what becomes even more important is having the people who understand how they work.’’
Senior military officials responsible for operating the weapons agree....
What warped logic.
Even the staunchest supporters of arms control, who believe the size of the US arsenal far exceeds security needs and will even after Obama’s proposed cuts, agree the need for more trained nuclear specialists is critical....
And those are the "peace" people, huh?
The lack of expertise could have global consequences. The same scientists and engineers who work on the US nuclear weapons are also responsible for tracking the progress of other nations developing nuclear weapons and for helping countries secure their bomb-making material from theft by terrorists.
Oh, like Valerie Plame, the CIA agent Bush outed?
One growing mission of the nuclear security agency is called “nuclear archeology,’’ using measurements and samples of fissile material and waste products to identify how much uranium or plutonium a particular facility in producing. This is expected to be critical in ensuring that nations such as Iran or North Korea live up to their commitments in arms control agreements....
But NEVER MIND ISRAEL!!!!

Of course, here is your REAL NUCLEAR NIGHTMARE:
"A recurring nuclear nightmare" by John E. Rosenthal | February 27, 2010
PRESIDENT OBAMA must have discovered the cure for radiation-induced cancer, the solution for long-term safe storage of nuclear waste, and the secure containment of nuclear materials from theft or terrorist attack at nuclear power plants. Why else would he propose to expand nuclear power plants with an additional $54 billion in loan guarantees to the already heavily subsidized nuclear industry?
And one leaking the stuff is just over the state line and we are downriver.
How nice.
It’s more likely that the president is poised to repeat the same costly mistakes of the past at the expense of public health and safety and national security.
It's a heck of a change, I must admit.
Nuclear energy is anything but “clean and safe,’’ as Obama has said. Utilities have traditionally refused to accept the risks without legal indemnification and almost total government underwriting.
Yeah, I'd say about 80% is near total.
Congress passed the Nuclear Waste Policy Act in 1982, obligating the taxpayer to underwrite all costs associated with managing, storing, and safeguarding nuclear waste.
Yeah, that is YOUR CONGRESS working FOR YOU, America.
The NUCLEAR POLLUTERS don't pay a damn thing; they just get the government check.
Today there are 104 commercial nuclear reactors in the United States, with several of the oldest and “dirtiest’’ plants in New England. The Associated Press recently reported that 27 of the 104 reactors are leaking potentially dangerous levels of carcinogenic radioactive tritium into local groundwater supplies. The Pilgrim plant in Plymouth and Vermont Yankee are among the nuclear plants with leaking reactors.
Actually, it is worse. They found something called cesium 137 in the soil where the company said there were no leaks.
The Vermont Senate voted this week to close Yankee.
Related: Around New England: Vermont Votes Yankee Down
Yeah, but it turns out that didn't mean anything:
"Public Service Commissioner David O’Brien, made some of his strongest comments yet, saying a February Vermont Senate vote blocking relicensing of the reactor did not matter."
That is your "public service" commissioner, Vermont?
And I'm still here downriver.
Still, Obama and some “environmentalists’’ are promoting nuclear energy as a solution to everything from climate change to Iran’s nuclear weapons ambitions....
I like the quotations.
The use of airplanes as missiles [on] Sept. 11, 2001 brought home the reality that Al Qaeda could have caused a nuclear nightmare had they targeted nuclear plants instead of our financial, military, and government institutions.
Yeah, what STOO-PID "terrorists" and MORE SCREAMING EVIDENCE of a FALSE FLAG FULL of SYMBOLISM, 'eh, America?!!!!
According to national security experts, Al Qaeda operatives, when asked in interrogations why they didn’t attack nuclear facilities, replied “not this time.’’
Yeah, right, the "Al-CIA-Duh" they TORTURED, right?!
********
Again, the REAL NUCLEAR THREAT that is being PROMOTED by LIES from the same government and MSM that is bringing you "Al-CIA-Duh," folks!
The risks from nuclear power begin with uranium mining, where tailings can contaminate groundwater, air, and soils. Then follows the increased cancer risk to uranium miners, nuclear plant workers, and neighbors living near nuclear facilities.
Yeah, HI, neighbor, can you see how furious I am?
Finally we must consider the devastating impacts of a possible major nuclear accident like Three Mile Island or Chernobyl.
I actually try not to think about it with that leaking hulk 20 miles away.
The proliferation of nuclear power is simply not worth the costs to public health and the environment or the extraordinary and endless financial costs to the American taxpayer.
Hey, they have a bottomless wallet so who cares?

"The single biggest threat to U.S. security, both short-term, medium-term and long-term, would be the possibility of a terrorist organization obtaining a nuclear weapon," Obama said.
Israel already has them.
"This is something that could change the security landscape in this country and around the world for years to come."
So WHEN is the FALSE FLAG, Obama?
"If there was ever a detonation in New York City, or London, or Johannesburg, the ramifications economically, politically and from a security perspective would be devastating," the president said.

So HOW MANY LIES are they going to TELL US, dear readers?

Yeah, well, JUST REMEMBER WHO WILL BE RESPONSIBLE and WHO we are going to BLAME for a NUCLEAR FALSE FLAG ATTACK, MSM!!
I think that will be the day I STOP READING YOU!!
Think that explosion will be noticed?

Dirty Dogs Setting Stage For Dirty Bomb
Won't be fooled by the false flag this time, sorry. And neither will a lot of other people I know, even if they aren't up to speed on 9/11. Intended or not, the government and MSM lies have also gotten to them. ...
