Just another reason to quit using arab oil. What are the imams saying about these displays of decadent wealth? Or are they all corrupt? I've heard that the wives and children of many of them live in safety and wealth in London, Paris, Geneva, etc.arab oil that you bought from exxon?If you haven't been to Dubai don't knock it!....The Burj Khalifa is one of the most amazing buildings in the world. The entire region has great potentual. Moreover the people of the Emirates are amongst the nicest one could ever hope to meet.If you have money why not build to your hearts content? Dubai is an extraordinary country in one sense and that is creating wonders of architecture. They are changing the common view of the Arab world day by day. Good for them!Been to Dubai, say what you want, but they are obviously doing something right there. That building is huge compared to the rest of the city landscape. Not cheap to take a tour of that building, maybe on my next deployment. They have some interesting items for sell there. I bought a couple combination knives/lighters there. The laws are strict, but it means a cleaner more presentable country. Go there and walk around you can't deny it. Compare Dubai to some place like France, didn't care for France at all. That place was filthy and overpriced. $3.75 for an 8 oz bottle of Coke. I got a 2.25 liter for less than that in Dubai.
