Incidentally, what you refer to as "human sacrifice", whenever it was practiced by any non-christian or non-european society, you do not call "human sacrifice" when it is referred to in your "historical documents" as Public Execution. The record of innocent people horribly tortured and put to death "in the name of Jesus Christ" would fill hundreds of volumes. These records are not considered "human sacrifice", but the imposition of the "Death Penalty".
Every person put to death by the "lawful authority" of their governing body, could be honestly referred to as "human sacrifice". It has always been done, in every culture, and considered an acceptable sacrifice to preserve and protect the status quo.
Why focus on the thousands of seperate tribes in North, Central, or South America ?
