if we count all the money we spend on "defense", we'll find that it is really closer to 1.3 trillion instead of 600 billion, so if we're serious about cutting spending, let's start with that. BTW, 60 billion in cuts can be avoided and we can get an extra 180 billion if we just stop the wars in iraq and Afghanistan.Perhaps we should hang a few politicians for corruption, maybe they'll get the message, or we could compel them to allow the people to take possession of their property to help with the deficit which they created.Let's make everyone mad.
So many of these comments show a true lack of modern history. The problem we have now are since Clinton's Presidency. Now it seem to me during this time both Repluican's and Democrates have held the power in Congress, which is where taxation and spending are really decided.
Being angry at any President show a lack of understanding of American political structure.
How many know most American's don't vote.
How many of you know income tax rates in this country have been as high as 91%? Yet the country is still here.
How many know that when you reduce taxes and don't reduce spending you create credit problems and that this happen under Bush and a Replulican Congress.
I have to wonder, too many comments are simple fixes to complex problems. Knownledge of program spending is not what is presented in the comment.
Just like Congress, how about doing more research to present an opinion that's counts.
