Arabs in the UAE have a very good life. They import their service people and other workers, they all live pretty high, better than most muslims. Change would most certainly take away from what they already have.Absolutely correct that they would be much worse off with democracy. I am white US citizen with MANY more white westerners here and we all love it because it is much safer and 'civilized' than our disgustingly messy democracy at home with everyone fighting over the limits to all their respective freedoms - mostly to seriously infringe on someone else's!! The Sheikhs here are fantastic people who are EXTREMELY open-minded - MUCH MORE SO THAN MOST new-breed REPUBLICANS!!! I'll take this system for now over what the crappy US is currently offering in the way of politics, economy, and culture!
