Leave the Chinese alone. From the standpoint of US vs China, we really are no better when it comes to human rights. 50 million babies + dead from abortion. If we don't take care of the most vulnerable, don't bring up the subject. We will kill the middle east people in the name of peace, have massive poverty in our own country, and fight wars for 1 reason only, to protect big business overseas. Oh, I have an idea, how about we pray. It has worked in the past. Give it a try. And oh yeah, don't abort your baby.Lets put this in another perspective. Suppose a growing Islamic communtiy in the US decided to create "house mosques" throughout this country . Suppose it was known that some of them housed dissidents and political action groups preaching activities contrary to this government. What should the government do? Non radical Moslems would still have the option to attend those mosques that are "state approved" because their Imams are known to not be involved in preaching coersion or activities contrary to the general peace and law of this land.
This is what I see the Chinese doing. I am not, as some imply, one of those "Neo Dems" apologizing for the Chinese government at the expense of a religious freedom. What I do see going on, as reported in this article is an understandable reaction on their part to what they percieve as a possible threat to order and stability.
