Many US soldiers are merely mercenaries. I'm guessing that there are FEW heroes among them, although they are victims, too.

Solution: Instead of sending young people, send any and all people advocating new aggressive actions/war (politicians, journalists, top military brass, et al) to the front lines of any resulting conflicts. Either they will shut up, or die - either way, we'll have a more peaceful world... (^^)
