The Nuremberg War Tribunals established the precedent that common soldiers who participate or know about or do not report actions that may be war crimes are themselves guilty of such crimes.

Anyone here want to turn over the men and women of the 101 Airborne or 2nd Infantry Division troops to Iraq or Afghan, or Spanish or Italian or French or German or Iranian courts for war crimes? In all of those places courts have declared intentions to charge our troops with crimes. This is a big international issue for the American Gov. just not often discussed.

Cheney can stay home...it's better for America that way.Oil is the biggest business in the world. Oil companies and the countries that have vast oil and gas reserves are rolling in money. Because of the enormous wealth to be had from the production of oil and gas, oil companies worldwide compete for the rights to extract the black gold. Even with about a 90% chance that the operations will be nationalized at some point the profits far outweigh the risk. Chavez nationalized 4 off shore rigs that belonged to a company in Oklahoma; Chavez reportedly paid the company market value for the rigs. Mexico, some of South America and most of the mid east has nationalized American oil company’s assets in the name of fairness to the people. The bottom line is that in high stakes oil and gas @#$% walks and money talks. Nigeria should talk they have the worst environmental track in the world when it comes to drilling and production or oil
