The idea being, that right-wing religious fundamentalists would make a great ally in the Cold War. And didn't that turn out just great?

India and China are their worst financial enemy.as long as Abbas is a puppet of the Mosad and the CIA, there will not be a deal. The palestinians need a real leader to unite the arabs against Israel. The US power is waning everyday with its bloated spending and borrowing. The arab countries can stand up to Israel if they choose now since they see their future ally as the east, not the west.
