When someone is doing something bad and no one knows about it, they'll keep on doing it and no one will be able to stop them.
It's only when you find out about it that you have a chance of correcting the bad behavior.

The documents released by Wikileaks prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that the United States is a bully that doesn't play fair, even with its so called allies. Our government routinely covertly meddles in the affairs of other nations, wrongfully manipulates negotiations and even court cases in other countries, and blackmails weaker nations into accepting things that are against their interests.

Our government officials would never in a million years have voluntarily admitted doing it, but now we know they do and they can't deny it. They have no defense for their actions so they resort to distracting attention from their own crimes and blaming the people who turned them in.

It's a shame that so many Americans have sheepishly fallen in line with what our lying government tells us to think and have failed to realize that Wikileaks has done our democracy a huge favor. How many times do our government officials have to lie to and betray us before we stop blindly trusting them?
