not legal or just!!--same with iraq!!--nato and the west is a pariah and menace to the world!!Legal? The Viet Nam War was " legal" because after JFK bought a used/lost colonial war become a civil war and tried to dress it up as part of the Cold War, LBJ "justified" it by lying to Congress about the Gulf of Tonkin incident and got the required vote. Then after we killed 3-6 million of theirs and lost 58,000 of ours, we lost anyway.
Libya clearly has a civil war of no strategic importance to the USA. We do not know who the rebels are, and if they prevail there so far is really no indication that they will practice democracy or be friendly to us. If our allies pull out, as Germany is doing, will we still withhold ground troops? If so, won't we be repeating JFK's other debacle, Bay of Pigs invasion with no air support? So far, Obama has not even bothered to lie to the Congress about the justification, goal, and contingency plans for this adventure.
This is not going to end well.
