And "WE THE PEOPLE" are at fault for letting these Corrupt Parties Stay in Power for so long !!!It is difficult if not impossible to get the $$$$ to run for political office without crawling into bed with either the Repubs or the Dems or both. So it would be hard to find anyone who could actually be nominated who is truly "Independent".....no $$$, no nomination......Simple solution: abolish the primaries. The primaries were established in the early 20th century as a way to curb back room dealings that prevented Washington outsiders from running for office. Today, we have the 24 hour media that does basically the same thing.

The problem with primaries is that they weed out moderates to appeal to liberal/conservative bases. It would make more sense to allow all candidates to run against each other, including multiple Democrats and Republicans. Take the top 2, regardless of party, and have a runoff election. It's the surest way to wind up with the best candidate for the job.We need an Independent to become President. One that has zero ties to Republican and Democrats.
