Sound like anyone we know ?You have two tribes here, fighting for years. The minority tribe wants power so why are we in it? Let them figure it out. Now Qaddafi and his sons will have a reason to come after American civilians. Are we going to kill his whole family? If the rebels win, who will they a line with? We don't even know. We don't need another war and it is stupid. We are going to save people by killing people. I don't even think the rebels would have challenged Qaddafi but for their belief that Obama would support them. Obama is a troublemaker.Clinton can't even control her husband let along another country.It was a very bad mistake giving her that job. BIG MISTAKEI am confused over what the heck we are doing in Libya and the weird messaging from Obama & Company.

First Obama says Momar has to go.

Then the adminsitration officially announces that we would not back a no fly zone on 3/8.

THen he announces we will follow on a no fly zone but the goal is not necessarily that momar has to go and in a "let me be clear" moment Mr. Obama said that "the United States would not lead any military action against Qaddafi but rather act in concert with the international community, and he said the United States "is not going to deploy ground troops into Libya. And we are not going to use force to go beyond a well-defined goal [of protecting civilians]."

Furthermore in his Q&A with the press he implied that we would not even be using US aircraft for military strikes.

On Saturday 3-18 in Brazin he declares that "America's role in the international military operation against Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi will stay "limited" to strikes on air defense targets."

Next day US war planes are flying over Libya dropping bombs to enforce no fly zone.

Furthermore, the next day US planes are actually bombing troops and tanks which has nothing to do with a no fly zone.

Are we at war? Is the goal to remove Momar? Why did Obama say no US planes would be used to strike Libya (French, Nato etc would be doing so instead) and literally within 48 hours US planes were striking Libya.
