This is a UN decision that clearly shouldn't have been undertaken in the first place. Now there's waffling, who takes charge? NATO? They aren't sure. France and Britain are sure but Italy wants NATO. The U.S. wants a minimal role because defense spending is soaring and well the country just can't foot the bill anymore policing the world. This is a serious mess. I think if France wants to take the lead role, let them!! They have all the means and resources to command this effort. One cannot waffle now, when the first bomb hit they're in it, you just can't leave. One thing many people will NEVER understand with Afghanistan and Iraq and you dually pay for it. Lessons learned folks, don't repeat.Obama has succeded in doing what no other president could...he has turned Gadhafi from a mad dog terrorist into a sympathetic figure that people are now getting behind.
