Shawn, this is a tempting tidbit to take and share if critical thinking isn't a priority. The CIA supported the Mujahedeen in Afghanistan, of which the Taliban were a small, relatively insignificant segment. The leader of the Mujahedeen was one Masood Shah who fought against the Talib usurpers and was, as a result, assassinated by them on September 9th, 2001. There is nothing else to it--nothing to which you can apply a single credible scratch of evidence. I am skeptical of our government (as I am all governments) and I have no illusions about it, but fabricating yarns in no way contributes to this discussion.
