The 4,400 dead soldiers and 30,000 wounded liberated Iraq. Bush just stood by and let his oil buddies swoop in and claim the spoils of war that our young men fought and died for. GW Bush is no hero in my book.No and no.
First, the wave of protests do not have anything to do with W Bush. What is happening now is a result of grass roots efforts tire of being hamstrung by dictators who the US supported ( or still supports ). Twitter has more to do with these protests than W Bush.
Second, the people of Libya can save themselves. They can decide what kind of govt they want. They can decide who, what, when they want to govern them. We need to keep our big noses out and give them our moral support. If they need any other help they can ask us for it. Other than that we need to stay out.
You are one of the many who rely on conventional wisdom. Conventional wisdom is comfortable, comforting, easy to understand, easy to spread and usually DEAD WRONG.
You see the protests in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya and view them with conventional wisdom. You have no idea that the US supported Mubarek for 30 years. Yes, we supported a dictator for 30 years. But, that will not fit in to your kind of thinking. It is way too difficult for you to comprehend. I guess it is back to fox news for you.
