I do like this comment from a GOP:
"Every American recognizes the heroism of the 9/11 first responders, but it is not compassionate to help one group while robbing future generation of opportunity," said Coburn, who led a GOP blockade against the bill. "This agreement strikes a fair balance."
So where was that spine during the tax debate, we were robbing our future to the tune of what almost a TRILLION dollars, Always amazing how the GOP finds this backbone when it is a small amount(as compared to the unpaid drug benefit bill, a give away to the drug companies) and it is for the benefit of someone who is not wealthy. Amazing the GOP biploar and off their meds.

Replies (2) The people who worked to save lives and find the dead who are now developing cancers and lung problem and it was the Democrats who fought for them to get help. The Republicans voted against this for the most part, but they sure wanted to support tax breaks for the rich and was willing to let the other 97 percent of the country go without until they got that. Who are those 60 who voted against this? Bet they were all Republican. They usually vote against everything that is good for the country or Americans.
