I wonder when people are going to get angy enough in this country to start a movement to get rid of our military? We spend more on the military than we do on the supports we need to maintain a decent standard of living. We should be more concerned about the need for good health care for everyone, feeding the hungry, providing housing for the homeless, and creating jobs for the unemployed opposed to spending on the @#$% military. We are very quickly becoming a third world nation because of the amount of money we spend on the military, and the stupid @#$% politics and politicians in this country.U.S. GDP is over a hundred times higher than Kuwait. And we aren't "protecting Muslims" so much as protecting business interests. Otherwise, why don't we send our Armies into Africa to stop far worse human rights violations?As always, Mr Gates wants the retired Military and Military families to pay more for health Insurance. Mr Gates never mentioned raising his cost for health insurance. MR Gates its your perks that we want cut. Letting the sevices reinvest their money savings into weapons programs and such. Is nothing, but the same old scam thats always been in place. Feed those defense contractors those big welfare checks. Nothing but corruption from our Military Leaders. Same as those Generals going to work for a defense contractor right after retiring. Put those corrupt slugs in prison.
