Friend, brother & teacher of Shaykh Hamza Yusuf, giving us (with the mic) the lowdown on a well near a famous date farm, & wadi from which the Prophet (SAW) healed many by giving them dirt form a bank to eat! He's here with the gracious, friendly & helping Sh Mehr Ali (Muazzin at Bilal's(RA) Masjid & one of Madinah's hidden spiritual helpers) on the leftholding his book open

Mashallah, Sheikh Abdullah was sweet, humble, connected, very articulate & extremely knowledgable of the life of the Prophet (SAW) & the Sahaba (AHS): in fact he is a Professor of Architecture in the University in Ahsa ( where I understand he is well loved by all & sundry) & he stepped in to cover for Sh Hamza when he fell ill and answered patiently the avalanche of questions on marriage fiqh from all the single brothers & sisters, even though it was uncomfortable for him he was very gracious & I never even once saw a hint of impatience or temper depsite the considerable demands upon him... Allah raise him...!

oh & BTW I guess he's the one mainly responsible for getting all the official approval from the Princes, the smooth running & all other ancillary, tribal & extraneous contacts on the ground, which is known as 'wasta' or 'Vitamin wow' or the 'thang' you need to get things done quickly in the KSA, without it, you're fringe dweller in society....although I hear it's on the wane particularly in Jeddah these days

So we all owe him a huge debt for making it happen in part, jazakallahu khairun ya Sheikh! we love you!
