It's a miracle! Pakistan Taleban chief Baitullah Mehsud -- who supposedly died from kidney failure six months ago -- takes credit for three recent deadly terror attacks, including Monday's attack on a police academy in Lahore.

He spoke to the BBC by phone.

Rehman Malik, the Interior Minister, said that the gunmen were believed to be fighters loyal to the Pakistani Taleban commander Baitullah Mehsud. The Pakistani Taleban said a little-known group called Fedayin al-Islam was responsible.

Baitullah Mehsud said the attacks would continue "until the Pakistan government stops supporting the Americans"...Pakistan's interior minister earlier identified the Taleban as well as other extremist groups as possible perpetrators, and suggested a foreign state could also be involved. Speaking to the BBC by phone, he also claimed responsibility for two other attacks:

* A suicide attack on a security convoy, also on Monday, near the town of Bannu in North West Frontier Province, which killed seven security personnel
* An attack on the offices of an intelligence agency in Islamabad on 25 March

Mehsud visits parts of S.Waziristan 02 Oct 2008 Supreme commander of the banned outfit Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan, Baitullah Mehsud visited different area of South Waziristan on Thursday. Baitullah Mehsud dies 01 Oct 2008 Supreme Commander of the defunct Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan Baitullah Mehsud is dead, Geo News reported early on Wednesday. The TTP leader had been indisposed for quite some time. A few weeks ago he had survived a severe diabetic attack but again fell seriously ill three days back.

All I know is, I want to come back to life as a Taleban or al-CIAduh commander. Such men are truly immortal.
