I believe that what we first need to regain a thriving economy, is leaders who will actually stand in front of us and tell us straight up what the problems are....even though most of us already know. We have leaders that will not do this because their pockets are being lined by those that cause the problems.
I know of a business that had 120 American workers. Before a union took over, the owner was paying his front like workers an average of $20.00 per hour, and he paid %85 of their health care premiums. Then the workers unionized and someone from the out of town union did all the negotiations. The result was that the owner was paying out nearly $40.00 an hour average per employee- with only $18.75 of this going to the worker, and the rest for union dues, health care, and other stuff the union foreced out.
After warning the employees he could not afford this deal, the workers decided to stick with the union and their advice. The company relocated near Mexico City and now has 300 happy and grateful employees with full health care, and average pay of $18.00 per hour in pesos. As for the former employees of the plant here, i see some of them working in Burger King, some of them working in Wal-Mart, a few at Jiffy Lube, and others scattered here and there.
