Frighteningly sad some of the vitriolic comments about this case.... bottom line is that he was used and abused with Gov't lies and lynching. Not what this country should aspire to for our citizens ...I'm tired of 9/11. For some reason the whole "terrrorist" scare hasn't scared me very much. I'm much more frightened of good old fellow americans.The terrorists won when Congress passed the Patriot Act, stripping all Americans of their 1st and 4th Amendment rights. Americas ignorantly approved losing their Constitutional rights when they re-elected the same people in 2002 & 2004 who passed the Patriot Act. Americans are simple lemmings!
What most Americans do not realize is that the US Constitution is currently suspended technically. Since Congress declared an actual war for America against Terrorism in 2001 and has never rescinded that declaration nor has a peace treaty been approved by the US Senate, then the United States is still in a declared state of war meaning all of its actions fall under Martial Law not Constitutional Law. It will be interesting to see if the US Supreme Court rules according to that same technicality.
