The 1991 Gulf War was justified because Saddam actually attacked someone. In 2003 we invaded them because you "thought"(that's a contradiction, as conservatards like yourself don't think) they were going to attack America. Never mind that Iraq was already in ruins after 1991, and COULD NOT attack us.

Yes Walt, you're right that a number of Dems said Saddam was developing WMDs, the difference is GWB said they ALREADY HAD them, even though they were disarmed by the mid-1990s. It was no secret that Saddam had them in the 1980s, was disarmed in the 1990s and tried to procure more, but when the Bush Admin. claimed they already had them and were going to give them to terrorists, THAT was the lie.

It's one thing to say someone is trying to get WMDs, it's another thing to say they already have them and are going to use them. THAT'S what people got upset about.
