While a cartoon claims, "Americans are not ready for Egyptian-style democracy," we move beyond democracy and the ability of voters to influence public policy. We now have a corporate-controlled and operated government, influenced by over 10,000 lobbyists. Is this progress?Kind of ironic theres been talk of oil and gas prices going up for the last few months. Then we have a revolt in Lybia to bolster the big oil greed. Maybe we need a revolt here in the States to take our country back from these greedy 2%.Libya only has 6 million people and brings in over $28 billion in oil revenue annually.

That's enough wealth for the entire population to have a home fully paid for, and cover water, food, utilities and a comfortable living.

But instead for decades the money is horded and the people end up with high unemployment.

So this time the people should see more of their own money and not horded into Gadhafi's lavish lifestyle. If the international banks do not put Libya into endless debt and no privatization takes place and the oil revenue goes to the people and reinvested back into the state, then in theory everyone should not have to worry about money. No debt, no taxes.

The oil belongs to the people of Libya and the wealth needs to go to the people of Libya.

If greed, corruption and privatization takes over, then the people will see none of it.
