Invade North Korea? Are you nuts?No doubt Ghedaffi has been a weirdo, and to be sure the British, French, and Americans (BFA) never forgave him for ordering the shooting down of passenger airliners.
But his performance as a dictator has been about average in terms of brutality, no different than those in the oil-producing countries friendly to the BFA. The fact is that the BFA want to re-arrange oil contracts in the Middle East and North Africa where they believe need re-arranging, and Libya is easy pickin's.
The real game-changer would be Syria. If the BFA could trigger a friendly revolution in Syria, then Iran would be next in their sights.
Another reason for this military action is to show the world that the BFA can still dicate the terms of oil extraction and distribution, at least in this region of the world.
If Syria, Iran, and Afghanistan, then maybe the Caspian Sea region and/or Venezuela.
It's a big risk, but the countries of early industrialization are facing peak oil and there is no reasonable alternative in sight.
