I am an ex-pat who lives in Muscat and has lived here for 6 years. You cannot put the Sultan in Oman in the same boat as the other leaders that have fallen or will fall. The Omanis love the Sultan. It is his ministry that they have problems with.Gaddafi is already defeated by his own people but the USA and other opportunists should not intervine/interfer to exploit the weakness of this crazy dictator. No country so far got its peace when USA and UN troops enter, if foreign troops enter Libya that will be the end of the peace! I hope that not to happen.Gaddafi's forces have over 2000 tanks and armored vehicles.
The rebels have less than 100 tanks and armored vehicles.
That is 20 to 1 in favor of Gaddafi's forces.
This mean so long as the commanders of Gaddafi's forces are cautious and don't waste their armor, that they will re-gain control of the entire country within 30 days from the rebels.
