what gaddafi and the gemahirija gave to the libyan people:
equality for women
equality for black libyans and minorities
religious freedom
containment of islamic extremism
oil in the hands of the people
political independence
economic independence
oil revenues distributed to finance an extensive social wellfare system for libyans which include:
free education
grant of 2,500 per month for students
2,500 euros per month + free transportation, lodging and books for students studying abroad.
free health service
free medicine
free electricity
free water
free homes and apartments
free premises for busnesses
free land, seeds and fertilizer for farmers and subsidies for farming machinery
childrens allowance
production bonuses
maternity leave and allowance
worker participation
no heavy or manual work by libyans. (such work is done by about 2 million foreign workers).
no tax
no tariffs
no interests on bank loans
a minimun 5,000 euro ($7,000) monthly pension scheme for all pensioners.
$1 for a car tank fill of petrol
an assembly (gemaharija) of 500, one-term annually elected members, reprsenting all the tribes and social forces of the country who govern by unanimous consensus. where no agreement is reached the permanent chairman (muammar gaddafi) takes a compromise decision which accomodates all the parties and which becomes law. this system has kept the rival libyan clans united for 42 years.
what they will have under a so called democratic governement (western puppet regime)
a pseudo democratic election that has to put to power a ruthless dictator to keep all the various rival tribes in check and who must be to the usa's liking. otherwise the vote will be "adjusted" to make the us candidate win.
western domination and interference
libya indebted permanently and at the mercy of the world bank and international monitory fund
taxes
dismantling of the wellfare state
austerity measures
most revenues of oil go for the multinational oil companies and the us puppeps and their corrupt inner circle as in the time of king idris.
women treated less than camels as in the time of king idris and his friends the tyrants of bahrain, saudi arabia and the arab emirates
black libyans of the south again put undrer savery as in the times of king idris
sharia islamic law. we are already seeing it being applied in benghazi where people are forced at gunpoint out of their homes by the bearded islamists of the muslim brotherhood for the morning and evening prayers. (the muslim brotherhood is considered an illegal extremist islamic group under gaddafi)
