My comment about the Iowa class battleship was a joke.

What most of you don't realize is that Moammar Gadhafi is one of the richest men in the world. He has "10's of Billions" in hard currency on hand in his banks and other places in Libya. Two weeks ago he put the word out he wanted mercenaries. In less than 5 days he had over 4,000 native African mercs hired out at $1,000.00 per week per man. Last night I saw he now has over 10,000 of them.

I make the point of saying 'native African' mercenaries because most of them were forced into this life at the ages of 9 or 10. Think about this. While you were playing the latest commando game on your play station, these guys were learning how to kill whole villages for real. These guys are very good at what they do and their only subjective influence is money. A very shrewd move on Gadhafi's part.

Gadafi has had 40 years to plan this show down with the west and I actually think he enjoys it. His threat of going door to door and closet to closet to hunt down the rebels and kill them like rats isn't an empty one. He already has one division of mercs a his disposal and he has all of Africa to call upon. There's isn't any reason for him to go quietly, the west has already said they'll put him on trial. What does he have to lose?

P.S. We should really listen to Algeria when they tell us Al-Qaeda is looting weapons from Libya. They have made off with trucks loads of stuff from shoulder fired surface-to-air missiles to c-4. Type in google and look for yourself.
