Having Failed to Close Guantanamo, Failed to end fighting in Iraq, failed to end fighting in Afghanistan, started a third war in Libya, failed to suipport the uprising in either Iran or Syria.
Why did Obama win the Peace Prize?
Oh yeah, he wasn't that War Hawk George W. Bush.
Or is he? Same policies, same outcome.
i remember in the 60's when the Protesters ( Rebels) at Kent State were shot down by our own National Gaurd! Is this any different than what Moammar is doing! We are historicaly just as bad as he is!
I'm an american and I love my country. But I sincerely don't understand this whole situation at all... How is it that the United Nations and the U.S. are supporting rebels against their own countries leader?
If this happened in the U.S. would our president and entire military stand down, step aside and let rebels take over? Or would they fight til the very end? Would England, France, Germany, Russia, China...
Something is seriously flawed with this whole sudden interest in the U.N. and U.S. desire to take over another country and depose their leader... The worst part is, we know that these rebels are the very same people we have been fighting for over 10 years in Afghanistan...
Most libyan's had it very, very, very well under Ghadafi.
"The young people are well dressed, well fed and well educated.
"Libyans now earn more per capita than the British.
"The disparity in annual incomes… is smaller than in most countries.
"Libya's wealth has been fairly spread throughout society.
"Every Libyan gets free, and often excellent, education, medical and health services.
"New colleges and hospitals are impressive by any international standard.
"All Libyans have a house or a flat, a car and most have televisions, video recorders and telephones.
So I am not exactly sure what the problem is?
I mean, I bet you that under this new rebel leader a lot of libyan citizens will be killed, tortured and executed. Not to mention they're living style will go down into poverty levels and will struggle to eat food...
Even Hilary Clinton said that we now know that the rebels we are supporting is the Taliban in Libya...
This is nuts!!!
