German Police Arrest 8 In Israel-Gaza Protest
Berlin police arrested eight demonstrators at a Israeli-Gaza
protest. Berlin's Jewish leaders filed
charges of 'Incitement to hate' based on posters the protestors
carried.
Levi Salomon of Germany's 'High Council Of Jews', said some of the
posters were anti Semitic.

Berlin's Police Commissioner
Police spokesman Michael Mass said that while the demonstration
was "for the most part peaceful," arrests were made on charges
that included incitement to hate, breach of peace.

Jewish Leader Orders Arrests
Salomon saw a family with small children holding a sign that read
"Israelis are child murderers." Salomon then ordered
the police to arrest the adults, and they obeyed.
Salomon said, what made the statement illegal was
its condemnation of Israelis as a people.

High Council Of Jews Files A Lawsuit
Salomon filed a suit in Berlin on Jan. 2 in connection with a
demonstration four days earlier where protesters were reported to
be carrying signs reading "Death to Israel,"and "Juden Raus," or
"Kick out the Jews."
