A Slum Called The Gaza Strip
Gaza has 1.4 million occupants, and the GNP is $400 per person. It is
10 miles by 4 miles, and Israel built an electric fence around it.
Israelis will use any excuse to turn tanks loose on villages. Often
bored soldiers at a checkpoint will take a jeep, kidnap a 10 yr old,
bring her back for the soldiers, and when their done kill her, dumping
the body in a field.

Israelis Dynamited A Sewerage Pond
On March 27,2007, in the middle of the night an Israeli team blew a
retaining wall and 150,000 cubic yards of sewage
hurtled downhill, inundating this poor village of Bedouins in northern
Gaza.
Five people died, drowned in the wave of waste, along with scores of
goats, sheep and chickens. Nearly 1,000 people had to be taken out of
the village. Now, Mr. Abrak said, “I’m afraid to go to sleep at
night.”

There Is A Much Bigger Lake
That lake covering about 100 acres, and it is again creeping close
to the danger point. Its sand embankment was reinforced this summer,
and two more outlet ponds have been dug in the sand. This lake could
destroy a town of 10,000.

Israelis Cut Off Repair Supplies
The restrictions cover many ordinary items not considered essential
to human life. But they also cover things like metal pipes, welding
machines and the wire used to refurbish electric motors.

Khan Younis Refugee Camp
If the lake overflowed, he said, “it would be a tsunami of waste.”
In three seconds, he estimated, more than 800 homes and 10,000 people
would be hit by a wave up to six yards high, and then the wave would
return. Oxfam estimates that 50,000 people could be displaced and
200,000 affected.

Normal People Can't Fathom This
Who would dynamite a sewage plant to flood a village? The same people
who fire a tank shell into a market place, or
execute two kids in front of a grammar
school class.
