Israeli Diamond Smuggler And
Assassin
Elinor Dvir, an Israeli smuggler, has
been charged with conspiracy to murder Aspen's District Attorney
Richard Nedlin.
It appears Dvir was
smuggling diamonds when she met Mr
Nedlin, an American Jewish man, who soon impregnated her. Miss Dvir
claims, "After Mr Nedlin had his fill of sex, he had her
arrested and thrown in a U.S. immigration jail for 20 months". Soon
afterwards she contacts a hit man to assassinate Mr Nedlin, and his
pregnant wife.

She is granted US citizenship, but
held on bond.

attorney for Pitkin County, Colorado, claims a 'Rags to Riches' story
(a busboy to attorney). It turns out the native New Yorker, was
a rich boy who spent summers in the Aspen area, and his winters in the
Hamptons.

Richard Nedlin comes from a wealthy family, who have homes in
New York, and Aspen. The assassin was to use the cover of a 'Drug
deal gone south' as the cover for the murder.
