The Question Is Who Benefits?
Syria, and or Iran, didn't do it. Syria supplied 18.000
troops for over twenty years to protect Lebanon from Israel. Why would
Iran want to see a civil war in Lebanon.

The 1975 Civil War
Israel fomented a civil war to divide the nation and allow it an
opportunity to install the rulers. In 1976, the
Arab League
intervened to stop the bloodshed, and authorized Syria to send 40,000
troops to keep the Christians and Muslims from killing each other.

Christian Maronites
are approx. 30% of Lebanon, and are Israeli allies.
Bashir Gemayel was the 33 year-old Maronite leader, who Israel
promised they install to be Lebanon's President.

Bachir Gemayel
became Lebanon's President. On September 14th, Gemayel, as well as 25 of
his staff, were killed when a
massive bomb took out their headquarters.
