J&K passenger waits for the opening of Jammu-Srinagar national highway

JAMMU, AUG 17 :- A passenger waits for the opening of Jammu-Srinagar national highway at Nadani about 25 KM from Jammu, 17 August 2007. The 300-km long Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, the only surface link connecting Kashmir to the rest of the country was closed to traffic due to heavy rains triggered landslides on the Highway at Sukhetra-Nandni tunnel in Jammu district. Over 2000 vehicles have been stranded on the Highway due to the closure, Border Road Organisation personnel are trying to clear the Highway
