I know how we can cut one trillion a year in debt for the next 10 years. Cut ObamaCare.
I know how we can cut another 200 billion in debt from the budget. Cut special interest entitlements.
I know how we can add 200 billion in income to the budget. Increase taxes on imports. As a net import nation, we'll save more than it costs us in our exports being taxed.
I know how we can add another 50 billion in income to the budget. Ban companies from allowing overseas employees from accessing American personal information. This will force call centers back to the US, and those employees will pay taxes.
I know how we can add another 300 billion in income to the budget while cutting 500 billion in debt. Legalize drugs, and apply drunk driving laws to drug users. This will have the combined effect of adding tax money through drug sales while cutting the size of the prison population drastically. This will also eliminate the Mexican drug cartels, make the US safer by cutting crime, and eliminate the need for police currently being used as drug enforcement.
I know how we can eliminate another 500 billion in debt. Stop allowing activists to make our environmental laws, and start having environmental laws verified by actual scientists. This will mean we can do things like drill in protected areas, because actual scientists know that the local wildlife doesn't care about oil wells or pipelines. Actual scientists can design regulations that allow oil companies to pump while preventing eco-damage, and scientists know that the best way to cut automotive emissions is to give a list of requirements rather than a list of parts to be used. Catalytic converters are not necessarily needed to have clean air, but as the government requires them there is no use in looking for alternatives that don't require exotic, expensive materials.
By the time all this is implemented, we'd be back in the black inside of 10 years. And once we're back in the black, taxes can go down across the board. For one, we'd not be paying about 400 billion a year in interest on the money we currently owe.
