salaam,
Back up to Desert storm as USA bombed Iraqi oil fields,,,Then publicly ascribed it to Saddam,
long journey to travel to watch Saddam attack his own oil fields ???
Then ascribed themselves as freedom fighters,,,WAS it the oil fields that got freed from captivity?
UNREASONABLE attack ,,,,should not draw any response,
Only reasonable ,,,attacks should draw a response,
Democracy two ways of figuring accountable !
feeamanellaahI wonder how much it costs to get away with murder these days...First off, I spent several years in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Israel as a private contractor. My responsibility was tactical communications, sometimes for the military and sometimes for private companies. The fact of the matter is they called me because there was a need. In fact, contractors have been working with the State Department and Department of Defense since at least WWI. The military simply does not have the number of bodies to fill every demand. Are we paid well? Of course we are and there are several reasons why. It's dangerous, miserable, you spend long periods of time away from your loved ones etc etc etc. It should also be known that most contractors (I'd guess at over 80%) are prior service members.

I'm very sorry not just for the families mentioned in the above article, but also for my brothers and sisters who never made it back home. Sacrifices are being made on many different levels, whether you're a Pfc peeling potatoes or a SSgt leading your troops into battle. Or yes...even the computer geek who setup a satellite dish so someone could call their family back home
