The US promotes itself as the model of democratic government and then supports dictators all over the world that are friendly to US interests. We torture prisoners, maintain secret detention centers, listen in to private communications without benefit of judicial review, and persecute minorities who may have different political views. We go to war with Iraq to bring democracy yet we support autocrats?
We send billions to dictators to quell protests by their people, and when the dictators are finally removed we treat the the people as rebels!
I've been to Egypt, and the people hate Mubarak! And just like with Iran, rather than support the *will of the people* we will support the hated governement and the final result will be another life long enemy!
