and all they can think about is legalizing guns to shoot each other.The obvious thing about Texas is that Texans have zero trust in their police force. They all feel that it is necessary to be lethaly armed - because their police can't do the job they are supposed to do.
When JFK was assassinated in Dallas there was a story circulated: "What happened when an elephant walked into a Dallas police station? Answer, "Absolutely nothing, they didn't see a thing."
The effectiveness and vitality of a police force is a pretty good indication of the community it serves. Don't blame the police - blame Texans and their backward mentality and ways.
