The Neocons wanted to start a war with Iraq, period. They thought they could eliminate S Hussein and take control of the Oil. WMD's, 9/11 attack, liberation for Iraqi's, they made up whatever reason they could think of.Wow, really? The intelligence about Iraq was wrong?

No s***. We already knew this. Of course, no one bothered to check out this guy's veracity. Bush had stated in an interview in 1999 that he thought his dad blew it by walking out of Iraq. The war was started when we were stupid enough to vote that dangerous ultra-religious warhawk clown into office.dangerous ultra-religious warhawk clown. I like that phrase about the illiterate nose picking punk from the texas wastelands.This man, and his cronies (those in the Bush Admin that created, like the Italian connected intelligence that was trumped up) should be rotting in a prison cell in Guantanamo. Definitely, Faith, Cheney, Wolfie, Rummy and Dummie to name just a few.headline should read: "Defector admits getting bribed by U.S. intelligence to lie about WMD"Man, you have to dig for this story in this country... It's pretty 'front page' everywhere else. Under 100 comments as well.
Nobody here really cares if they are being lied to or not. They would prefer the version that (a) it is all out of their control or (b) we are number one and always are doing the right thing.
I remember a former CIA/UN weapons inspector (Scott Ritter) saying all along that this intel was a hoax leading up to the war. It didn't matter, never did/never will. After seeing all those happy faces that couldn't be wrong back then (most of them even don't want to remember how bloodthirsty they really were), it really shows the lack of depth and strain of arrogance this here society has to offer.
A whole lower class of its own. Perhaps, that is why this story is hard to find.
