They make excess profits, fix prices, don't pay the taxes they should, pay their executives way too much, and so on. Twenty million dollars is a drop in the bucket, compared to what these oil companies are getting away with in this country. Is this some kind of joke? I am sure the Afghan ex-minister is a saint compared to USA oil company executives.Seems that our so called intelligent leaders thank that you can buy loyalty. It has never worked and never will. All these crooks our government have supported have come back and bitten the hand that fed them. Stop the money flow to Afganistan and Pakistan, they do not want democracy and the capitalism that goes with it since they know its a corrupt system.
