EGYPT: The citizens of the Middle East are not talking about a "western democracy" in Egypt, Saudi Arabia or anywhere else in the Islamic Middle East ... In Saudi Arabia they are talking about two different types of "shura" or "Islamic consultation”.... The Islamic word "shura" does not translate into the English word "democracy" as the AP and the American Politicians seem to think....

The "King", "Prime Minister" or "President" or whatever title you want to use, it doesn't really matter because the real "bosses" in an Islamic State, like Iran, Saudi Arabia or Egypt in two weeks, are the "Religious Elders" or "Islamic Jurists", not the people or the Politicians.

An Islamic State doesn’t consult "with the people" ... unless those people are appointed by the "Islamic Jurists”... an Islamic State consults with God, not the people …

In Saudi Arabia the Sunni form of "shura” is the "Ulema" ... the Shia protesters in Saudi Arabia want the "consultations" to take place with the Mullahs in Iran .... not the “religious elders” in Saudi Arabia ... that is hardly a shift to a democratic form of government...

The Egyptian people see the “Islamic Elders” in Egypt as being less corrupt than Mubarak’s regime, but that doesn’t translate to the “elders” being more “democratic”.

THE PROTEST IN EGYPTT WAS NOT ABOUT EXPANDING WESTERN DEMOCRATIC GOVERNMENT - IT WAS ABOUT RETURNING EGYPT TO AN ISLAMIC STATE WITH ISLAMIC CONTROL OF THE GOVERNMENT - ABOUT ENDING SECULARISM IN EGYPT... A secularism that according to Islam, is inherently corrupt, because the Government’s decisions were not being authorized by Islam or the Islamic Elders … that the Government was corrupt because it was corrupting Islam...

THE PROTESTERS IN SAUDI ARABIA AND EGYPT ARE NOT PROTESTING AGAINST ISLAM ... THEY ARE NOT PROTESTING TO END THE ISLAMIC SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT IN SAUDI ARABIA.

IN SAUDI ARABIA THE DISPUTE IS OVER WHICH GROUP OF "RELIGIOUS ELDERS" WILL OVERSEE RELIGIOUS DOCTRINE... THE RELIGIOUS ELDERS OF SAUDI ARABIA OR IRAN

and the American Press and Politicians are jumping up and down shouting about democracy ..... FOOLS ...

THE ISLAMIC WORD SHURA DOES NOT TRANSLATE TO THE ENGLISH WORD DEMOCRACY...

SHURA MEANS THAT EVERY GOVERNMENTAL DECISION MUST BE MADE IN A MANNER THAT IS CONSISTENT WITH FUNDAMENTALIST ISLAMIC LAW ... SHURA DOES NOT MEAN "IN CONSULTATION WITH THE PEOPLE”...

SHURA MEANS "IN CONSULTATION" WITH THE "RELIGIOUS ELDERS" ... THAT BEFORE THE GOVERNMENT ACTS, IT MUST OBTAIN PERMISSION FROM THE ISLAMIC SCHOLARS OR JURISTS ... not the common Egyptian, Saudi or Iranian...

In Egypt the upper house of the Parliament, what is called the Senate in the United States or the House of Lords in Britain, was called the SHURA ... but the Egyptian Shura did not consult with the Islamic Elders, it did not seek permission from the "Islamic Elders” it was a "SECULAR GOVERNING BODY" and as such it was an affront to Islam ... a corruption.
