The fighting hasn't even stopped, and the rebels are already making plans to sell oil.Jonglei canal again! ! This reminds my generation of the Sudanese military use of Egyptian river boats in the swampy areas of southern Upper Nile (now Jonglei State) for hunting down displaced civilians during the first civil war, which ended in 1973. Our villages were initially flooded and the population displaced by the rising waters caused by the construction of Aswan damp.Thousands of people died whilst the Khartoum government rejoiced quietly with Egypt. We sought refuge in towns/highlands but the government forces met us with bullets and slitting of throats. They captured and killed everyone they accused of being a rebel. We had to ran back to hide in the same waters but Egyptian ministry of irrigation equipments were used by the Sudanese military to chase and kill innocent civilians. WHAT DOES INDEPENDENCE MEANS FOR SOUTH SUDAN SINCE KHARTOUM AND CAIRO CONTINUE TO DREAM OF TAKING THE OIL AND WATER WITHOUT REGARD TO HUMAN LIFE IN THIS UNFORTUNATE PART OF THE WORLD? I hope we will not have to fight another war! It's quite simple, support leaders like Sarkozy and you'll preserve your national identity France. But of course you won't, because few places suffer worse from the Western Liberal self-hating disease than France. It's a shame really. If you've never been to Paris you'd better go before it's completely (it's very nearly there) over-run by North African and Arab riff-raff.
