Have you forgotten your criminal bloodshed against innocent Palestinian children in Gaza?
Nothing says that Itamar killing is commited by Palestinians....It's not that much of a surprise that Israel has one of the blackest human rights records in the world. It's not expected of the dogmatic regime which relentlessly kills innocent civilians, including defenseless children and women on a daily basis, to respect the rights of human beings and their dignity.
Israel is one of the gravest violators of human rights in the world and despite the unconditional US-sanctioned support which it receives in the stage of international community, human rights activists and organizations have usually lambasted this vicious regime for its violations of human rights and inattentiveness to the political, social and religious freedoms of either its own people or the citizens of the Occupied Territories.
One of the instances of human rights violation by the Israeli regime is the employment of disproportionate force against the peaceful demonstrations of the Palestinian citizens. According to the reports released by the US Department of State, Israel has for long used firearm and advanced ammunitions to cease the gatherings and demonstrations of Palestinians living in the Occupied Territories.
On September 28, 2000, the former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon visited the Haram al-Sharif in al-Quds. On September 29, Palestinians held large demonstrations and threw stones at the police forces which had tried to disperse the protesters using tear-gas. According to the US Department of State report, "police used rubber-coated metal bullets and live ammunition to disperse the demonstrators, killing 4 persons and injuring about 200."
The next month, another bloody confrontation took place between the Palestinian citizens and the Israeli police which claimed the lives of 13 Palestinians, marking the second massacre of peaceful protesters in two months. It was reported that in October 2000 the Israeli police "used excessive force to disperse demonstrations in the north of the country that coincided with the outbreak of violence in the occupied territories, killing 13 Arab citizens and injuring 300 with a combination of live ammunition and rubber-coated steel bullets."
The other cases of human rights violation by the Israeli regime are reported by the Spain-based Derechos Human Rights organization. One of the recent reports released by Derechos on the status of human rights in Israel reads, "Israeli forces continue to arbitrarily detained hundreds of Palestinians on "security" grounds. Hundreds are put under administrative detention, without being charged or sentenced, in violation of internationally protected due process rights."
"Some are kept in prison for years without ever being charged. Hundreds more are sent to prison for political reasons following trials that do not comply with international due process standards. Often the main evidence against prisoners are confessions extracted through torture. Detainees are regularly denied visits from their lawyers or family members," the report continues.
Aside from the extrajudicial detention of political activists and sentencing the Palestinian citizens without holding trials, it's widely believed that the Israeli prisons are the most frightening and terrifying prisons in the world. The most inhumane methods of torturing are used in these prisons against the Palestinian detainees and the international community has been helplessly unable to prevent Israel from exercising such brutal measures.
