The quake in Japan was horrible and the residents are no doubt going through an extremely trying time. That said, those who say that people "over-reacted" to the tsunami warning, the fact is that you CAN'T over-react to a tsunami. Those destructive waves typically cause more deaths than anything the original earthquake can do. People don't realize how fast and far in the water will move when it returns from it's recession. If you are near water and their is a tsunami warning, head to high ground. While we can predict that a tsunami may occur in a given area, no one can predict just how much destruction it can cause. The fact is that the US had 1 die and a few missing from this "non-event". It would have been more without the warning, and could have been much worse. Don't minimize tsunami warnings; it is a stupid mistake that many people made just moments before they drowned or were crushed by debris.Every tragedy is a circus now. Hey media....those were not toy cars and planes and houses floating in some kid's sandbox. A whole bunch of people died and/or lost everything. it is almost as if the camera and TV equipment separate the reporters from reality..
