The same report adds that during the first Intifada (1987-1993), Israeli security "interrogated approximately 23,000 Palestinians." The Public Committee Against Torture (PCAT) estimates that almost all of these 23,000 Palestinian suspects suffered some torture during interrogation.
The torturing methods applied by the Israeli regime are vehemently aggressive, inhumane and cruel. They contain the prisoners in small, compact spaces such as boxes about 2 feet square and five feet high, enclose the detainees' head in sacks, bend their bodies in extremely painful positions, expose them to prolonged periods of extreme heat or cold, abuse them verbally and psychologically, deprive them of sleep for several days, play extremely loud, heavy metal music before them and choke and pull out their hair.
According to the Defense for Children International, a large number of the Palestinians, which are being kept by Israel as political prisoners, are children between the ages of 12 and 18. Reports published by this human rights organization indicate that 6,700 Palestinian children are incarcerated in the prisons of Tel Aviv.
In any case, Israel's treatment with the human beings, whether Palestinian or Israeli is a clear manifestation of butchery and inhumanity. The Israelis even don't have any sympathy for the citizens of the countries with which they have diplomatic and political alignment. The painful killing of Rachel Corrie on March 16, 2003 and the massacre of peace activists aboard the Freedom Flotilla are among the instances which show that Israel cannot come to terms with humanity and respect for human's dignity.
