Usually in an "underage sex" case you don't prosecute unless one of the people involved in the sex will admit it.

Here, both parties allegedly involved deny there was sex. In the US I think most prosecutors would just drop the case at that point. But in Italy the prosecutor persists in calling Ruby a "prostitute" and taking the case to trial. Sounds politically motivated.In this case, the real charge is about abuse of power - (I thought she was Mubaraks niece. Wink wink nod nod)
