What else can we do for/in Iraq? We have been there how many years, eight? I believe our troops and advisers have taught the Iraqis everything they need to know and to do. We simply cannot stay there year after year using up our soldiers' lives, equipment, and monetary resources. Please bring ALL our troops home from Iraq. We cannot babysit this country any longer! The same goes for Afghanistan. These countries must learn how to fend for themselves and how to be civil to the different tribes/factions of their makeup. Mr. Gates is correct we have the two wars, Libya, and Japan on our plate! We need to concentrate on America, we need to pump the money being spent in Iraq and Afghanistan into our own country and our own economy to get out of our indebtedness to China. That money can be invested in new factories and can put thousands of our unemployed to work!! Why are we allowing the Iraqi government to "decide whether or not our troops should remain there? That decision needs to be made by OUR leaders, including the congress!! We must NOT allow these countries to make decisions for us!!!
