Human
Rights groups are mostly political. They get big money from the State
department. Remember when Thailand had tanks running over people and snipers on
the roof last year??? Human Rights groups were out to lunch because Thailand
has been a US ally for 50+ years.
When the
US kills civilians, 600,000+ so far in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Human Rights
groups are on vacation.
I favor
human rights but don't like to see biased, unobjective, political misuse of the
concept. Where were the human rights groups when the US waged genocide against
indigenous tribes?
It
appears Human Rights groups fail on their basic goal, to provide human rights
to all.
