Al-Baqi
Baqi is a cemetry in madina where more than 10000 of the prophet's companions, the prophet's wives and daughters, a large number of followers(tabieen), followers of the followers(tabi'al-tabieen), and other Muslim scholars are interred
The Mount Uhud
Mount Uhud is an important Islamic site that holds many values and lessons. Mount Uhud lies within the northern limits of Madina, and extends from the west to the east.
The Mount of Marksmen
The prophet (Pbuh) positioned marksmen upon this mountain in the Battle of Uhud. It is due to an error by the holy companions(r.a.) in following Prophet (Pbuh)’s orders that many companions were martyred (r.a.) and the Prophet (Pbuh) was injured.
The Martyrs of Uhud’s Cemetery
The Prophet (Pbuh) had instructed that the martyrs be interred in the battlefield. Two to three (martyrs) were interred in the same grave. You find this cemetery near the Mount of Marksmen. It is sunnah to [visit them].
The Battle of Khandaq (Masjid Al Ahzab)
The battle of khandaq is named after the trenches that were dug to keep the enemies at bay. There are seven Masjids in this area that continue to the airport highway.
Masjid Al-Miqat
It is the miqat for people of Dhul-Hulaifa and those that come by that route. It is also a Miqat for Hajj and Umrah Pilgrims coming from Madina.
