Cave of Hira
The Cave of Hira lies north-east to the Masjid Al-Haram on the Mountain of Light (Jabal al-Noor). This is the place where Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) used to isolate himself, before being bestowed with the prophethood. He also received the first revelation of Quran from Allah through Gabriel in this cave.
Cave Thawr (Cave of the Bull)
Cave Thawr lies about 4km south to the Masjid Al-Haram where Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) and Hadhrat Abu Bakr (r.a.) halted during Hijrah1.
The Zubayda Source
This source of water was developed by Zubaydah, the wife of the Caliph Haroon Al-Rashid. The source springs from Nu'man Valley in Hunnain that lies about 36km away from the Masjid Al-Haram.
The Jannatul Mu’alah Cemetery
The Mu'alah is one of the ancient cemeteries of Makkah. It lies to the east of the Masjid Al-Haram. Hadhrath Khadijah (r.a), companions (sahabah) and a son of Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) are buried in this cemetery.
